I don't understand the why Rani's character is being decimated here.👎🏼

She was a kid when she started that letter thing with Raj, and she didn't grow up to be as "beautiful" as Tina. Yes, she was playing "mahaan" by wanting to sacrifice her love for her friend but she didn't have a nefarious plan to hurt Tina for GOD's sake.

On the other hand, Tina was dumb enough to "fall in love" with Raj in like 2 days? Lol. Not even once she thought that Pooja could also be in love with Raj, despite so many "hints" were thrown in her face.

Acting-wise, Kareena was very OTT & having so much of "Poo" hangover in the film.

Rani was the only one who did NOT overact in this film. Her chemistry with Hrithik was sweet and simple.👍🏼

The difference was very clear in Hrithik's acting in his scenes with Kareena vs his scenes with Rani.

Overall, the film was good and songs were lit.⭐️ The fact that this movie still gets discussed every 3-4 months here is proof enough that it does have a huge re-watch value.👏

Raj was such an ass. Pehle full on flirted with Tina and made her fall in love with him.

And one day he got to know that the supposedly pretty girl and the one with gobi parathe obession , are two different people. And BAM !!! he decided he likes food more .

If he was so in love with the girl who wrote him letters and shares common interests with him , why couldn’t he recognise that person who he claimed to loved so much ?

Post the revelation he just dropped Tina like a hot potato , like he played with her heart and life and now expects her to understand his change of mind ?

IMO he wasn’t fair to Pooja either, she should have dumped his shallow ass. And I ain’t forgetting that one scene where he was gaslighting pooja for moving on with Uday chopra and not jumping on the train to reveal her sister like friend ,who by the way just lost her father, that they were busy rekindling their ‘dosti’ in london while she was awaiting her almost fiancé to be back home.

Does my blood boil when I see this movie ? Yes

Was this post a waste of my time ? Yes

Do I still enjoy that cringe parody ? HECK Yes

Will I stop watching this movie and let go of the tiny weeny serotonin I get because this movie was all I watched when I was little and obsessed with HR? Probably not .🐷

I found the movie nonsensical.

it has nothing to do with acting calibre..but a lot to do with how stupid the whole movie was in general and even worse that most dint even care for HR Rani love story..and there was no chemistry at all between both of them..that’s why the movie failed lol..that pairing just dint work..Bebo definitely overacted..but This is also not Rani’s best performance..that sindoor scene was straight out of Ekta kapoor serial Blaah lol

I hated Rani too! 😆 Pooja was insufferable. She was selfish, an emotional manipulator, and played with both her friend's feelings like it was all some game. Goody two-shoes pissed me off so much.

Raj was horrible too. He leads Tina on, makes her fall in love with him, then instead of breaking things off, continues to lead her on and lie to her well into their wedding day. What a shallow douche.

Tina ends up being the victim in all of this. It's not her fault she caught feelings. If I were her, I would 10000% cut both those assholes out of my life forever.

Still, I rooted for HR and Kareena too. It's a total guilty pleasure despite how it pisses me off. I can't not watch it. 😆

I prefer MPKDH than this! Well it's even more fun to watch with your lover. They were supposed to act like this and they delivered but somehow it should have been something else to make it a big hit in those times.

Even MPKH was more bearable than this 😵.

They did Kareena's character dirty man!
