Yes She's a good actress but it's too early to sing her praises.

As for South Indian movies being popular among small town Indian audiences it's a good thing.

For some reason Hindi films don't seem to have found such audiences in South India even when they dubbed their films in South Indian languages.

Amitabh Bacchan Rajanikant Kamalhasan and to an extent Nagarjuna had Pan Indian presence even before this term came into existence.

It is just that the technology made movies from different parts of the country accessible to the entire country.

If a film has substance that is relatable it will be accepted all over even if it is a story which is region specific.

It is how audience can relate to the characters and content and not the language.

In fact watching the movie in original language with subtitles or watching the dubbed version of the original work is better than a remake.

Both are very limited in their talent but have good screen presence and ambitious.

I was referring to popularity amongst commoners esp boys, who aren't on social media but watch in single screens.

I haven't seen movies of either of them so don't know who is more talented. Yes if they have appeal surely they can become pan India stars.

Deepika got married four years back and is expected to go the motherhood way soon

The current top 3 Bollywood actresses are soon going to be dethroned.

Who is the next no.1? Kiara? Kriti? They are below average actresses who are yet to make a mark. Kriti did leave a mark with Bareily ki Barfi but couldn't follow up after that. Kiara acts in big films but has insignificant roles mostly and is yet to register a great performance. Sara/Janhvi/Ananya are all too young, unpolished and will take another 5 years at least to get there.

Considering all this, Samantha's upcoming slate of films - two big pan-India solo heroine films (Shakuntala (Period romance) and Yashoda (Thriller), followed by KJo's film with Akshay, Aditya Dhar's film with Vicky Kaushal, Citadel with Varun Dhawan and Dinesh Vijan's film opposite Ayushmann Khurana. And then there is the pan-India romance film with Vijay Devarakonda and a Hollywood film called "Arrangements of Love" by Downton Abbey director.

She's already India's most popular actress - In two years, she is going to conquer Bollywood as well.

Samantha does have the complete package to be a Bollywood star - looks, talent, and dancing. But whether that will translate into results is yet to be seen. So many promising new stars have dwindled after one or two acclaimed performances - and the acclaim has rarely translated to "hit material."

I think a PR overdrive is the nature of the beast. It is just so essential and challenging for female stars to stay in the limelight and get attention. Otherwise, they do get forgotten.

I am really curious about what Alia's future will be like. I am glad that the industry is redefining marriage and children. Kareena continued working after marriage and having kids, but never met the heights of her JWM days. DP has continued after marriage.

While I do wish Sam success, I hope none of the others fade away.

This is the most bizarre advance booking I have ever come across from any star's fan. Solo heroine films to get pan-India success is rare, 1 to 10 ratio. The rest of the projects are not even announced officially. Hold down your horses, gal, your Sam might herself get a shock reading all your claims.
