She’s not showing her nipples, this is not a nude. She’s wearing a very sexy outfit that shows cleavage and legs but she is not baring her nipples and vagina.

Stimulating nipples lead to direct arousal and vaginal wetness. There are proven nerve ends that link nipples to sexual arousal glands in the vaginal area. That's not the same as legs and feet. Foot and leg fetish are not universal. But there's no straight man who doesn't find nipples non-sexual, unless he's specifically seeing them in a non-sexual context, like a doctor checking his patient's nipples. So the comparison is rubbish.

I don't think you understood what I said. Sure, context matters. But baring your vagina and nipples without context is sexual, right? Here in this photo, Sonam is deliberately striking erotic poses, baring cleavage, and thighs which have no relation to announcing pregnancy. There's no rocket science here that's so hard to comprehend.

But there is context, right - it's a pregnancy announcement. People do all sorts of pregnancy announcements from nude and barely clothed to not even featuring themselves but having chalkboard announcements or ultrasound photos.

I, personally, don't find pregnancy announcements erotic or titillating. Even if the woman is fully nude, my mind thinks that this isn't to arouse me, but it's a woman owning and celebrating her body that is going to be creating and sustaining a future person.

But that's just me. Can someone get titillated by images like this? Of course. Are they wrong to get aroused? No. It's a natural response. Even I can falter despite awareness that it's not for me. We all get aroused at times without intending it. People can get aroused by the most ridiculous things like a tree or a rock because of their shape and structure. Some people have a pregnancy fetish and can be aroused by even a fully clothed woman cradling a pregnant belly.
So, I don't think it is reasonable to police and control how other people own or express their bodies. I don't think it is fair to blame people either. As grown-ups, we must realize that some things are meant to be sexual and some are not - understand the time and place and try our best to be mature about it.

It’s a personal choice that I like to see pregnant bellies more than enlarged breasts. I would have loved the different angle pic. But it’s her pregnancy so her choice.

Too much moral policing going on about showing cleavage. One doesn't have to suddenly lose her sexuality or sexiness just because she's a mother or a mother-to-be. It's a mindset that reeks of patriarchy. (Not saying this about you, just a general statement basis majority of the comments on this site and on SM).

Oh I don’t care about her cleavage or legs at all. More power to her. I don’t like it because you can’t see the baby bump very well because of the color and/or the poses. Shouldn’t the baby bump be the focal point of a pregnancy announcement photoshoot? Unless you do one of those cute announcements with a signs, which she’s obviously not doing that.

Congrats to sonam. Nothing wrong with the photoshoot, don't get why people are getting so triggered by it.

I mean if this simple shoot is bothering people so much I wonder what Rihanna's pregnancy looks do to them 😂.

It's mission accomplished for her

Yeah exactly. She wanted people to talk about it and they are, and will be for days. I'm sure we have many more such posts to look forward to over the next few months to keep herself relevant and in the limelight.

Nothing is easy, breezy, smooth, full of joy or ecstasy as they show in the movies - from marriage, coitus, to motherhood, parenting…

And it’s not supposed to be… Sad but true

Edit: Maybe not so sad… It’s just life… It’s not the Gov. or society’s job to smooth out every wrinkle in your life…

But she's doing deliberately titillating photoshoots which have nothing to do with pregnancy or motherhood. That's what people are questioning. Of course, it's her choice. But people also have the choice to criticize as long as it's not below-the-belt insults.

Everything in life isn't going to be free. People who work to teach you these things need to get paid. Your contention seems to be that health care system needs to pay for it.

Health insurance is there for a purpose. Most insurances do cover it btw. If someone decided to go cheap and buy one which did not, it's not the fault of the system. It's a choice the person made, then she gets to cover it out of pocket.

Who said anything about it being free? Most public healthcare systems are tax funded - whether that’s Denmark, Canada or the UK.
I’m quite happy to have most of my taxes go towards funding “free” healthcare for all. You see, if I’m fortunate enough to go through life without having a knee surgery, but someone else is not, i’m quite content knowing my taxes have helped fund their operation and saved their life regardless of the fact that I probably pay more in taxes than them.

I’m fortunate enough to have private medical insurance cover (I’m not American so this isn’t the “norm”), but just as fortunate that even if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be left to die.
