sonu got kicked out by music labels and thats not regarding money , infact he was fighting for the rights of old singers and he said i make more money doesnt mean everyone make that amount of money their are singers whos family dies out of hunger and they were legends of their time that is why he along with other voiced out for royalty issue , the amount sonu earn is due to his shows , not every singer can do shows of same level

Producers spend so much money on actors but singers in Bollywood are supposed to work for free,Otherwise they are greedy. So much exploitation. Alka did nothing wrong although I doubt this story is true.

By the 2000s, the music industry was already losing its importance in a way...otherwise today music directors would have charged crores like a composer does internationally. Producers stopped investing in the one place they should have.

And singers do not receive royalties unless they are songwriters because they could very well earn from public performances, which a music director or lyricist couldn't. Hence most artists abroad are singer-songwriters. So any singer demanding a share of the pie isn't eligible because they aren't the creators or the publishers.

by 2000 many composers turned singers themself ,,, himesh said i made alot of money with my singing which wasnt possible if i restreicted myself to composing only ,,,,,,in west things are different , they write , compose and sing by their own in playback thing is only in bollywood where someone else make a tune , someone else write it and a singer come for few hours singing it , in an interview vishal dadlani said that people dont even know that ghoongro toot gaye is our song , people think that arijit made the song they dont know that there are composers who compose it, singers just come for few house to sing a tune composed by xyz and written by xyz but even though if arijit is getting credit for our song i dont mind he is a brother

So Sonu should be able to ask for royalties for his songs from T-series but Alka is greedy if she refuses to sing for a song without compensation 🤪 .

that was not for sonu alone sonu doesn't need royalty he is earning more and living a royal life in dubai , sonu stance was for those artist who were popular at one point of time and now dont get live shows , and their family live in a poor condition, there was one composer who came on indian idol and neha kakkar gave him a checque after seeing his poor condition , royalties are nessarry for those people , people like sonu , alka do not need royalties they are doing concerts here and there
