Dissociative identity disorder is commonly known as multiple personality disorder, so i don't think she had did. Dissociation is a wide spectrum , so one can dissociate from reality as coping thing but that is not same as what vidya had.

No problem love 🤗
Anand infers it as schizophrenic which is weird😔
Nothing will convince me that it’s schizophrenia. Not a chance. 😆
A psychiatrist and a psychologist right here. Both just totally ruled out schizophrenia of the picture.
Then what's up with the director here? Maybe common people like me have heard about Schizophrenia more than Dissociative Identity Disorder, Chronic PTSD, Maladaptive daydreaming, Coping mechanism, that's why he just mentioned schizophrenia in the interview. People like us hardly know details of the specific mental conditions.

I think the director watched Madhoshi and thought any person who imagines a person must be schizophrenic.
Because there is either depression or Schizophrenia, nothing else on the spectrum. 😆

Oh you feel he actually doesn't know the differences between these conditions? Then that's quite problematic because that means he just made a movie on something he wasn't even clear about. I just thought he mentioned schizophrenic because everyone has heard that word and it would be easier to understand for a layman. Of course even that is wrong because correct mental health awareness is the need of the hour. But anyways, it didn't feel insensitive the way he dealt with the complex subject and such layered characters.

I feel that he hasn’t researched schizophrenia enough if that’s the mental disorder he wanted to portray. He ended up giving Rinku an entirely different disorder instead. 🤦🏽♀️

Have you heard about the movie Zero or seen its trailer? Did he portray Anushka Sharma correctly as someone with Cerebral palsy disorder? I have no idea because if he didn't research that one properly, then maybe he does suffer from this poor habit of lack of effort in proper research.
