Look all I care about is how happy Kat looked on her wedding day- much happier than Ash who knew she was getting married into an excellent family lineage but that it was her due as THE Aishwarya Rai. (No shade to anyone- they seem like a stable couple)
For Kat, there was no such guarantee after experiencing a public humiliation with her previous relationship. Many people are not able to get back on their feet after this but she did! It makes her happiness so hard-won and precious. Vicky will do and this marriage will last! Looks are important but come on!

As in she was (is) the most beautiful woman in the world, smart, accomplished and she had everyone from Sallu Bhai to gazillionaires falling over themselves to marry her so she always had options. She also (as someone said on this forum) never let any ex- not even Salman- humiliate her publicly. I don't think anyone ever had a doubt she would marry well. I'm sure she also knew that
In contrast, Kat's story has been very different. She was done dirty and gossiped about and was a virtual foreigner with toxic relationships. So while Vicky is obviously no AB Jr when it comes to family and pedigree, this is a very sweet and hardwon moment for her.
From when did we start equating marriage photo happiness with the actual happines of the wedding?
Nowadays it's a trend to keep smiling and photographers and videographers also help in achieving a really good, aesthetic photos.
Aishwarya and Abhishek's marriage was really beautiful and both were invested in the ceremony not only for pictures but to actually feel the essence of the marriage ceremony. And in those times Dulhan laughing or seeming really happy was not appreciated. She was mostly stressed about who to greet and how to greet. Know everyone and know the relationship they share. Address them kindly and listen to their peace of advice. Marriage for a woman at that time was mainly to uphold the to-be family's name and behave accordingly. Very less freedom was given to the bride's in those times.
Not only Aishwarya even Kajol or Rani's or Twinkle's candid marriage photograph was not as good as today's photos.
And about who is handsome.. who cares? Stop satisfying yourself by comparing two amazing women or the two gentlemen. And stop questioning people's relationship or whether they are happy or not. They are happy and even if they are not they will figure it out.
Abhishek looks better than Vicky (be it clean shaven or with beard). He has nice big eyes, looks more khandaani.
Not that it matters, but I think Abhishek is better looking than Vicky.

Vicky is better looking than AB Jr. Almost everyone is. Vicky might not have the best features but he has a lovely smile, which transforms his whole face. He also doesn’t make nauseating expressions and nor does he embarrass himself by dancing like a monkey. Show me one good smiling photo of AB Jr that can rival these. You wouldn’t because I’ve googled them all.
