When I saw Aloo and RK at that Kali pooja,I was wondering if it was a prop for a media shoot..no other celeb was there.Rest of BW was celebrating with others..going to parties. When has anyone seen RK with BW people? He gets his pics taken at his house site a few times, where only the foundation is coming up..what is there to see and understand at that stage.so weird. He also gets pics with his family. Its like he is not part of the industry anymore

Kjo is not only offering other actors films on a platter, when was he last seen in RK's company?

In the last few months has any BW celebrity remembered him in their interview / promotions? These stars are all praises for other stars, and comment on them all the time. There COULD be 1 or 2..maybe someone can post(Apart from the people from films he is working with..)

After Brahmastra, will Ayan too abandon him?

He seems to be someone outside watching others in BW going about their business..None of the people he worked with wants to do anything with him anymore..

He can definitely get a girl if he goes through another break up(I hope he doesn't)...anyone can get a girl in BW if they are from a known family or successful...but my point was that the craze he had among new actresses has faded a little recently... that hype and all. That's what I meant.

It is thrilling for some people when they make the player hang up the jersey and quit the game.

PROPER B LISTERS.In Deewar, kabhi kabhie,AAA they worked as second leads..or it was Rajkummar Rao like films of today.Till SLB took RK..the industry wouldnt even look at them. After that Filmfare started giving them front row seats!

That's quite a lot of wrong information you're spreading around carelessly. Rishi made a pair with Zeenat in Hum Kisise Kam Nahin. Rishi and Hema were cast as an unconventional pair in Ek Chadar Maili Si. I haven't seen Rangila Ratan with Rishi Kapoor and Parveen Babi. But wiki lists it. Rishi's only fault was to debut at a time when Bachchan was still ruling the roost.

The Kapoors certainly weren't nobodies who were ignored by the Industry. There was at least one working as a leading man/lady every decade till date and they command respect. You seem to enjoy the idea of them being ostracized by the Industry. Nothing could be further. Ranbir might be an introvert with a close friend circle who's not into social media exhibitionism. But if he didn't know how to play the game, and network properly he wouldn't have survived till now.

Amitabh was not ruling the roost when Rishi debuted. He had some flops behind him. But Bobby released on same day as Zanjeer which is first Bachchan film to become a super hit and get him attention as a potential new star. Raj Kapoor used his influence to sabotage Zanjeer and promote Bobby and even bought Best actor award for Rishi who clearly did not deserve it.

No amount of promoting Rishi over Amitabh worked. Amitabh went on to achieve heights no one else did.

It is also true Rishi did not get success opposite mainstream A list heroines. His films with Hema, Raakhee are forgotten or did not do well as he looked younger than them.

Kapoors are not nobodies but their power did decline from 70s and 80s. Rishi has usually been overshadowed by all stars in his films. Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra, Shatrughan Sinha, Jeetendra, Mithun also have more solo hero hits than him.

He was a bankable star but nowhere near his predecessors from his own family or his contemporaries. Even as a supporting actor Shashi Kapoor had way more success than him. Rishi may have been more successful in 90s or 60s because it was era of romantic films in those decades. He was a baby face in 70s and total misfit in 70s and 80s action film era. I feel he did better with Neetu, Poonam, Padmini, Divya, Neelam, Juhi, Madhuri, Sridevi later as he looked mature by then. He was baby faced misfit alongside Raakhee, Zeenat, Hema, Rekha, Parveen, Reena types in 70s and early 80s.

In what universe was Rishi a B lister?πŸ˜†

Kapoor power declined in 70s and 80s because their kind of films wasn't working any more. It was the era of the angry young man. RK Films decline was not related to Rishi's career.

Honestly, it's like calling Clint Eastwood a B lister.πŸ˜†

Bobby. Despite Zanjeer, it was the highest grosser of 1973 as per Google

Barood

AAA (not just an Amitabh vehicle)

HKSKN (who remembers the other hero?πŸ˜†)

Sargam

Karz

Naseeb

Katilon ke Katil

Prem Rog

Naukar Biwi Ka

Nagina (yes, Sridevi hit, but if we're giving credits to Parveen, Hema, etc. for their flower pot roles and calling them A-listers, the qualification fits for Rishi alsoπŸ˜†)

Zamana

Khudgarz

Chandni

Bol Radha Bol

and more...

Shammi was awesome. Maybe not great acting, but his movies were totally fun. He was nice in his personal life, too, from what I read. Also, he was a big promoter of Yahoo! when internet first started in India.

Zeenath came only in the surprise climax of the film..like they do these days..one of the heroes is given another heroine. The actual heroine was Kajol Kiron. Interesting that you mentioned Hema. at that age.

So you see..from his debut in 1973..could he even think of reaching where Dharam,Rajesh,Jeetendra,Vinod Khanna, were.He had to fall back on Neetu every time!No heroine was willing to work with him..

A B List actor.
