Because believe it or not, Saif is actually a good actor. We should be asking how and why Salman is still getting movies despite being such a consistently shit actor.

If you are going to use Bhoot police to judge the acting skills, it's not fair with the actors. Even if Aish was acting in the movie instead of Yami/Jacqueline, the movie would have been trash.

It's a trash movie with trash and maybe Saif was asked to (over) compensate for Arjun's acting.

(And yes, Arjun isn't a good actor unless he is pushed by the director)
