That was the first look for Mr. Lele, which Varun had used to announce the film.

I think he's rethinking all his choices after Coolie No 1.

The announcement of Mr lele being shelved came even before coolie no1's trailer released, so I dont think varun walked out of the film coz of coolie no1.

Varun was supposed to do Ranbhoomi with shashank and it even had an official announcement, but then it got shelved. Then Mr lele was announced with varun, but then that got shelved. Then most trade people said shashank will be directing yoddha with shahid and disha patani, but now rumours have come out shahid has walked out of the film and is doing Karna instead. Now the latest rumour is Mr lele is back on and vicky is rumoured to be cast in it

Could it be that Shashank took Vicky instead of Varun because the latter is going thru a tough phase and rejected the film in the first place over the script problem?

I mean Kalank, Street Dancer, CN1...disasters. Vicky will charge lesser and imo is a better performer. Plus Varun can't demand whatever he wants to do anymore, CN1 is proof of what happens if an actor gets overconfident.
