There are only 5 or 6 actors MAX that can provide an opening. What are filmmakers supposed to do when they can't get those 5 or 6? They would still want to make their films, wouldn't they? That's where people like Arjun Kapoor come in. Bringing in someone brand new is even harder. You know how much money it takes to introduce and publicize someone new? They won't do any better than the likes of Arjun Kapoor anyway in financial terms.

That's how guys like Shahid Kapoor lasted for 20 years. They were just kind of around so if you can't get the big stars, you get someone who is a known face like Shahid.

But the movies flop. So the producers are at loss

So ain't it better not to produce such movies.

Many of these movies do have black money invested in them. Even if the movie flops it would be white. After pandemic audience will run back to theaters more than before. Something similar happened after Spanish flu ended. More people started going out and enjoying life.

1 film is 100% complete and just stuck for over 2 years

In that sense all actors have films like that. I think one film from 2000 with karishma, big b, arshad warsi is still stuck 😆

But nepotism does not exist in Bollywood but arjun got movies because of his talent, he is such an incredible actor obviously he will have movies.

There is no such thing as nepotism in Bollywood its all on the audience as audiences gave all his previous movies a 100 on 10 thus he is getting more movies

Is he the lead in any of these? I can't imagine his salary is that high even as a lead. But as a supporting actor he probably needs quantity.
