Assuming that both people meant their stances (and let's assume they did), I do think calling for Genocide and hatred against a religious group is way worse than being a arrogant prick.
Either way, let's forgot KR for her old comment. She keeps posting islamophobic shit on her twitter even NOW.
But how is class discrimination, elitism, and looking down on the less privileged any better than racism or resentment towards a particular group of people? To me, they all serve the same purpose--marginalizing a particular group of people and acting like you're high and mighty compared to them.
Giving a preferential treatment to the "blue bloods" within bollywood and selling them as inherently superior to the audience looks just as diabolical to me too. And then these people create talk shows where they think they are uniquely qualified to define other people's reality by elevating and demeaning whoever they want in the public eye. PREJUDICE is what these people thrive on.
To me, Bollywood looks like a socially accepted institution with significant barriers to the well-being of the less privileged cuz the audience is willing to look past the prejudices. And even the ones who make it to the top are bullied and suppressed systematically. People can wrap that up with the english slogan "nepotism is normal and everywhere" but can't digest KR's tweets? I mean, I understand Islamophobia is nothing to defend but in this context where people are willing to accept the malpractices of bollywood, I don't get how they can create such an uproar over KR alone.
To those people, I say either speak against all kinds of prejudices, or drop the act.
