Sometimes she says did A single computer course there! Other times she says she went there to study law. I for one know you can’t get into law school here without having a bachelors degree first. So I am not sure how she managed that?

My issue is that you should know about a movement before you post on social media. You should have the facts and statistics down in order to make a valid argument about it. In short you should post it because you have done you research and you truly believe in it. Not because it will garner you some momentary publicity. I post many political things on social media. It has nothing to do with Indian issues or American issues. I am pretty sure if she posted about a prevalent Indian issue she wouldn't be able to defend it. People have been making the argument that actors don't need to be knowledgable in any other arena. And putting them down for not being educated is elitist. Well ok even though I can name a lot of Hollywood stars that are educated. Their degrees are of in theatre or film making. BUT if that's the case than why do they post about things they clearly don't understand. One doesn't even need to go to school do understand certain concepts. Particularly politics people inform themselves by watching the news, reading books, or watching politicians debate. I don't think its elitist. But the intent has to be a genuine one. I don't think it is genuine if you clearly don't understand the issue or can't defend it.

I agree with this, which is why I gave her the benefit of the doubt until she did a real quick 180 and I realized she's changed from what she was 15 years ago but she's still the same ill-informed, arihead. She's finally getting dragged with the NRI desis, but I haven't seen the same in India.

Either way, I agree. She needs to read up on it and no one expects ppl to know everything and it's only human to err but god forbid she ever apologize. It's usually ppl laughing it off, which means she's in a constant environment where she isn't even called out by her colleagues. That part irks me seeing how well-informed her contemporaries are by compairson and they're getting dragged for much less.

Completely agree. Most of the actors are hypocritical and doing it only for show. But it takes a special type of hypocrisy to name your kid after an invader who reduced the worlds population by 5% and then pretend like you actually care about oppression against any group of people.

Many of them don’t even know what they are doing , support a cause just because their PR says so. Reminds me of DP’s Vogue ad. She realised what was wrong with it after people started bashing her. 😆
