She's a talented singer and I like her voice. But sadly, the very song you posted is part of the reason for composers avoiding her. That Dum Maaro Dum remake was very poorly received so unfortunately being associated with that song which became her most well-known one put her in an unfavourable position.
Around that time, that's when music composers / production companies were doing the whole thing where they would get several singers to record the same track, and then pick one closer to the film's release as that main version. The other versions are either archived or sometimes an additional singer's version will be added on the album as the last track as an "[encore]" or [reprise]" - a system which is very much still a trend.
On the Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl soundtrack, Anushka Sharma's introduction song "Jazba" has two versions. The film version has Shilpa Rao - but I much prefer Anushka Manchanda's version which was released as part of the album, but it was in remix form. So that further restricted it's chances of getting radio play / more popularity. I feel she's had many situations like this, and therefore she just fell off the radar.
