Never read a marvel comic so this question is for comic readers. Is Zaira Wasim a good choice to play Kamala Khan in MCU?

Not a good choice, when you know she is going to reject it.

Hell no! If the character is Pakistani, then it's better for a Pakistani actress to play the role who has already been associated with international projects.

Tom Holland is British but plays an American character in the MCU. So why can't an Indian play a Pakistani character?

British people do not have issues with American people so it's completely fine. But it's another case for Indian actress playing as a Pakistani in a bigger platform. It may create controversies and many debates among the audience, so safer is if it's played by a Pakistani only.

Does Marvel studios even care about controversies and online debates between India and Pakistan? All they see is that MCU is a big brand in India so casting a Bollywood actress will increase the audience.

You never know, they certainly care in a certain extent coz such debates can often turn into ugly fan wars which Marvel Studio would prefer to avoid. They can easily introduce Indian Superheroes in the MCU if they want to, as there are Indian Superheroes in the Marvel Comics for real. Giving a link for reference:
