Also male fandoms are pathetic and disregard things like sexual harassments like it's nothing. They only care about directors giving their male faves huge blockbusters and box office results as if they are dick measuring contests. Who cares if the director has molested women.. 'women lie and false cases feminism is a disease I hate feminazis and blah blah blah look at my male star and his box office records'

okkk but still they need to be called out. This we can't expect anything better from men but we'll hyper bash women kinda makes me uneasy. Rk deserves same level Twitter outrage. I get it when fellow women do it it's much more dissapointing. But make actors should know just cz they're guys doesn't mean they get a pass. Being empathetic is not that hard. Many guys irl work for women oriented social issues, r actually nice equality believing men. So this I'm a guy so women's issue shouldn't be my concern narrative is Bs.

I always wanted to say.. you had far too high expectations from her.. she even wanted to work with Salman - it was the other way round that he did not like her and didn't approve of her casting - at the end of the day, she is just like any other mainstream actress, they get the crumbs and have a sliver of the power of their male counterparts. None of the actors, even the 'woke' ones in BW will actually turn away jobs because of their conscience. Any change to bring about reforms or punish offenders will only work if the big PHs and moneybags decide to so.. otherwise there is no hope. #MeToo only drove down small fish like AIB while absolute monsters like Sajid Khan chill away in luxury and people will forget everything soon.

yes. Most of this progressive bw n hw brigade only talk about issues to create a good image. I really don't think they care enough. Thus it's better to look up to real feminism activists like those two woman lawyers for 377 amendment who came out as a couple today,or Hima das,or Dyuti Chand, those women in ISRO etc

Completely agree. There are tons of guys who know better and even amongst actors there are a few I would trust to actually pay heed to women's issues. And definitely men should be held accountable as much as women. But some things are a lost cause because the stance is already clear. Also the fans needs to feel something's wrong too. The men just get away with stuff like this in the industry. That's the bitter truth. Look at Hrithik and Bahl. But we can atleast reach out to the women to not do the same and am just glad Deepika is at a stage where her fans think she could atleast acknowledge her wrong move, drop the movie and that. With male stars its already known that it wouldn't happen.

This was tweeted by Sid Kanan in February this year. Everyone thought it was a rumour only. I feel the insiders were aware because there were occasional rumour here and there since last year. They were waiting for the metoo wave to die down and seeing how DDPD and Super 30 fared at the box office they got the assuarance that this movie will work too.

so looks like deepika's make up artist agrees with the trend and thinks deepika shouldn't work with Luv

i don't think Luv, rk and deepika expected that such a trend would happen, maybe they expected a slight reaction, but not so much outrage especially from her fans

if she isn't doing the movie then a confirmation will come soon, but if she is then they are going to stay silent about it until the reaction dies down

and if deepika has signed it i don't think she will walk out, she has always committed to a film that she has signed on the dotted line for
