That's true. However, not every piece of criticism is rooted in skin tone. So your comment actually sounds like a victim card in this context.

so now we cannot even call the Goddess Deepika of looking ordinary in a certain picture because hey we are shallow and racist.

I'm not sure if she's considered big in Asia. One thing I know Bae Doona is so damn talented. For someone who doesn't speak English, she works hard on it and was featured as one of the main actress in Cloud Atlas opposite Jim Strugess. They dated for a while too 😳 Plus, she has a tv show in US, Sense8. She kickass in that show.

If you are open to watch foreign films, you should watch her movies which mostly is in Korean. Air Doll, The Tunnel, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, The Host, A Girl At My Door to name a few. Her latest outing was the super successful Netflix Original Series, Kingdom. That was one hell of a series! But her character in Season 1 has not been fully explored yet. They promised more of her in Season 2.

She might not be a conventional beauty but she has this graceful and cute aura about her. And did I mention she's super talented? 😛

I am happy that she's got featured on the cover but I don't like her look very much. I couldn't have thought of a less flattering look. But she is so beautiful that she's still looking pretty in it. Anyone else would have not been able to pull it off. It's just they could've done so much better with the styling.
