I honestly feel like David Dhawan trying to regain his fame of old films through his son's is just going to end in disaster. Films like Coolie No 1 were a one off for a time when the Govinda-Kader Khan on screen chemistry and comic timing as well as Govinda Karishma pair was for that time suited to those actors.

He's a good actor when he's not trying to be Govinda or Salman.

David Dhawan should make original films and by all means cast your son in it.

Just please no more remakes of 90s films that only suited that time.

Times have moved on. 80s/90s are now being referred to as the most regressive in b'wood for their stories and female roles. Why go back there?

Yeah the concept of a coolie is kind of finished now. I have never seen any coolie at a bus stand and even I haven't travelled by train since long. But yeah the no. Of coolies have reduced a lot. Maybe in small towns you can find coolies.

IMO they should change the profession of Varun in the film.

I am sure your parents must have seen this movie, it is a good one time watch with family.
