Nana Patekar on Saturday said a "lie is a lie" in response to questions about Tanushree Dutta's allegation that he sexually harassed her on the set of a film a decade ago.

The media surrounded Nana's car as he arrived at the airport here from Jodhpur, and posed questions to him about Tanushree's accusation and statement that her voice was suppressed by those in power when the incident happened.

"10 saal pehle jawaab de chuka hun... Jo jhooth hai woh jhooth hi hai (I have answered this 10 years ago. What is a lie is a lie)," Nana said before he sat in the car and left.

Earlier on Saturday, the paparazzi in Jodhpur tried to get Nana to answer, but he pushed aside the mics and avoided questions. He made his way straight into the airport without saying a word, even as a media personnel asked him thrice as to why he was silent, according to videos across social media platforms.

The actor, who was in Rajasthan to shoot a film, is likely to hold a press conference in Mumbai in a day or two to address the issue.

I feel bad for this guy. He is almost crying.

The video is pretty much in line with what I have been saying. Where does Nana Patekar or MNS figure in all this fiasco ? The brawl was between Dutta and media. The reporter in another video has said that Dutta's car was driven over his leg. What would have happened if that media-person had died ? But small persons cannot file a complaint against the privileged twitterati because what if the privileged lot feels 'uncomfortable' with the media-person who has filed the complaint ?, The media-persons fear that they might lose their livelihood . Yet the media of today chose not to highlight this fact. This also raises serious issues on the integrity and ethics of media and also on some journalist.

There have been discrepancies in what Dutta has been saying. First she said Nana Patekar touched, when the on-set video surfaced and she and Nana Patekar were seen smiling at each other and no evidence of misconduct found, she said she was uncomfortable with the look and now she has circled back.

Also why is Cintaa saying sorry only to Dutta? They should apologize to Nana Patekar too. Is Nana Patekar not a memebr of Cintaa ? They should have resolved this issue in 2008 itself. To assume that somebody is right because allegations are made is wrong.

2. In the whole song, it was the female who touches the guy, not the other way around...he clearly said, his cue was to run away from the female dancer...

3. He rehearses with the dance assistant, so no question of touching Tanushree even by mistake during rehearsals.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the me too movement. But we need to also keep in mind that BOTH sides need to be heard. To automatically take sides because one is the accuser and a woman is also flawed.
In the recent past we have seen two instances where the man was accused wrongly.
1) Kangana's accusations against Hrithik
2) Zaira Wasim going live and accusing a man sitting behind her of harassment also turned out to be a misunderstanding.

So while we encourage the movement for women to speak out, let's also give both sides to speak.

That said, there's still a possibility's Nana is lying here.

So you basically are assuming that Tanushree is dumb and Nana is not capable of lying?
