You can stay away but at least you should laud her courage for speaking up. There's no need to shut her down and bash her for it. But, this is part of the reason why MeToo cannot work in India yet -- they're too scared to praise that courage. I would not expect any of the bigwigs in BW to say anything. Half of them are scared because of their own doings. To be honest, I find it disappointing that they refuse to even acknowledge the courage it takes every survivor to speak up in public about the harassment they faced. Nothing can be expected from Amitabh Bachcchan anyways regarding anything like this. If it was Pink promotions, he may have jumped all over it...same with Aamir.
Apparently, Tanushree Dutta's story has not changed over 10 years. I'm inclined to believe her. The story is utterly horrifying though.

Some incidents that take place even a decade ago remain fresh in your memory. What happened with #TanushreeDutta on the sets of "Horn Ok Please is one such incident - I was there. #NanaPatekar

I was a cub reporter in 2008, assigned by AajTak and Headlines Today to cover the BTS of a song being shot for this film. When I arrived, I was told shooting had been stalled because the actress, #TanushreeDutta was "being difficult". #NanaPatekar

Janice Sequeira @janiceseq85

I could see Tanushree on set, visibly upset about something. #NanaPatekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya and a man (who I later found was the producer) were having a conversation, while 50-odd dancers sat waiting. The official version was that the "heroine was not cooperating.

A while later, shooting resumed. Tanushree resumed work, and a couple shots later, #NanaPatekar joined her. Not long after that, Tanushree walked off set. Shooting halted again. She locked herself in her vanity van, refusing to come out.

Out of nowhere, goons turned up and began banging against the vanity van door. I was told the producers had called them to set. Cops arrived. Amidst this chaos, I got hold of #NanaPatekar. All he said was, "Meri beti jaisi hai, which didn't really make any sense at that point.

Eventually, Tanushree's parents arrived to pick her up. Her car was attacked, the windshield broken. I tried to get in touch with Tanushree to get her version of events. Around midnight, she asked me to come to her place. In tears, she narrated what really happened. #NanaPatekar

Tanushree told me that after three days of rehearsals, Ganesh Acharya changed every step on the day of shoot. #NanaPatekar was never meant to be part of the choreography, but coerced the producers into getting him to shake a leg with Dutta.

Later, she said, a lewd dance step was introduced on the insistence of #NanaPatekar, so he could touch her inappropriately. That's where alarm bells rang, and Tanushree decided to walk off set. What she didn't expect was the aggression shown by the producers after.

The chat I had with Dutta hours after the incident was identical to the account she's come out with now. How could a person's version remain the same a decade later if there wasn't any truth to it? [Our chat was off-the-record, even though she went on to give interviews later.]

For anyone who's either going to be ignoring or downplaying Dutta's account as a desperate call for attention and question why she didn't speak out earlier - she did. Interviews by Dutta were followed by a press conference by #NanaPatekar where she was branded "unprofessional.

This was a decade ago. It could have possibly been the first instance of a Bollywood actress calling out sexual predators, and her voice was silenced by more powerful men who continued to have flourishing careers. Now she's found her voice again. Shouldn't we listen? #NanaPatekar

Things aren't the same anymore (even though, they aren't exactly different either). The #MeToo movement has encouraged women to come out and speak about sexual misconduct in the West. If it's, in turn, inspiring women in India to speak out, we need to find a way to encourage it.

Janice Sequeira @janiceseq85

We all know there are hundreds and thousands of women who are too afraid to speak out against sexual assault and misconduct, lest they be called "unprofessional". They will only speak up if we appreciate - even laud - the courage of #TanushreeDutta, and not look the other way.

Her story has not changed, this news article is from 10 years ago. The producer confirms that she had issues with the song and Nana touching her. I believe her.

Another one from 10 years ago with the MNS threatening her for accusing Nana Patekar.

Naa toh mera naam Tanushree hai aur naa hee Nana Patekar, kaise uttar (answer) do aapko iss sawal ka.

Amitabh's reaction is funny though ..anyways why would anyone take sides when they dont know what happened exactly on the sets is beyond me ! Had it happened to any other woman in industry what would be tanu's comment on it ? Iam sure she would react the same as amitabh /amir /salman did !btw salman's is best saying he is not aware of it..😆

Btw why media is asking everyone abt this issue and expect them to react when it is not related to others??!instead they should ask the people ,who are present on sets at that time ..so that it would be easier for furthur investigation rather than faltu ka interview asking random people !

I liked how Aamir responded...matters should be investigated before taking either sides, i like the approach because he didn't discredit tanushree from the go, nor attacked Nana without prior knowledge...
However Amitabh is a different level of trash and i hope all his scams come out and he rots in jail!

Amitabh himself supported Salman during the Salman-Aishwarya/accident phase. So what did you really expect?

Must have been his guilty conscience speaking. Amitabh is disgusting.

The assistant director of Horn Ok Please has also supported Tanushree and said she is telling the truth.
I've never liked Amitabh but I don't think bystanders should be attacked for not speaking up. Neither Aamir or him know anything that happened in that situation so what can they say? I'd rather that unconnected people not get involved and just create more masala.

Support is useful when you are part of that situation in some way, like that journalist Janice Sequira. Other women who might have been harassed by Nana speaking up would also help a lot. Abusers like this rarely ever stop at just one woman. It's a pattern of behavior so there must be others too.

They all do. That's why people shouldn't get excited if they speak against Nana either. Kangana has gone on full rants about feminism, attacked Hrithik and so many others and then justified rape comments by Salman.

Farhan who is speaking up here did not give any support to Kangana. Instead he wrote a letter on Hrithik's behalf while admitting he did not know anything. Priyanka is supporting Tanushree but was so happy to work with Salman (lobbying Arpita for it) despite knowing his abusive history with Aishwarya and only walked out for selfish reasons of doing a HW movie, not because Salman is a bad person. Twinkle Khanna has come out in her support while she was making fun of and humiliating Mallika Dua publicly after Akshay harassed her on TV.

None of these people need to be put on pedestals. Nana is not powerful enough. The responses would be wildly different if Amitabh was the accused.

Keeping quiet and minding their own business about situations they don't personally know about is at least not harmful to anyone.

What Amitabh is saying here is in contrast to the character he played in Pink.
Khair that was a movie and this is reality.
