Maybe certain personal beliefs. Many people in India don't announce pregnancy till the last three or four months. It's usually superstition/belief involved or the health of the baby and the mother is taken into consideration and when everything is okay, the pregnancy is announced.Infact, I personally haven't heard anyone around me announce their pregnancy before the third trimester, except for very close relatives.

Its not easy to DECLARE such a thing in India where people overreact on every little thing and have all these ideologies that are often imposed and forced onto people. Would any of you have a kid of wedlock and yell about it from rooftops? Its not something our culture really accepts or promotes. Why put yourself in a position to be ridiculed? Trust me its easier for them to do it this way then the way others want.

I can understand why they would get married and make it seem like the child as conceived after marriage. They don't live abroad, they live in India. As progressive as India is...in some things it will never be.
