Deviating from the topic, but anybody watched Gold? It stars Sunny Kaushal.. Vicky's younger brother.. The movie is getting mixed reviews, but Sunny is being praised overall.. Could he be the next great performer that everyone would be raving about? 😛

The problem with RK is he is stuck with that rockstar / tamasha characters. When he tries something different it doesn't go well. He has this image of a charmer & lost soul stuck with him. Another thing about him is he imitates well be it raj kapoor or Sally or Sanju.
Vicky was great in masaan, zuban, Raman, raazii etc. They're quiet different...

Its kinda sad he's getting recognised now. ( after razi n sanj) if he wouldn't have starred along these big budget movies I doubt there would have been a comparison made.

Well said 👏

IKR

and just the thought that someone as good as vicky lost best debut award to someone like Sooraj pancholi..makes it even worse

but i am glad he is being recognized now..better late than never esp in an industry as biased and brutal as this where many talented ones are never given their due

The day I saw Masaan, I so knew he will shine brightest given the right opportunity. Deepak Kumar 's character stayed with me the longest time.
Vicky is super talented with good looks, the kind of looks whom you can easily imagine in a variety of roles be it playing the innocent guy from the dom community or cool dude from Manmarziyaan types.

That being said, nobody can claim the talent that Ranbir has as he is just so effortless. As some one pointed out, no one would have played a Barfi better, he is that deep into the skin.

Ranbir ...he has proved his talent in various films and diverse roles from Rajneeti to Barrfi to Sanju
Vicky was excellent in Sanju but I have to watch more of his films
Ranbir certainly has more charm than Vicky.

Jim is not a patch on Vicky. He has the most annoying dialogue delivery and is not fit for films. Vicky is a freaking genius. He is super flexible as an actor, chameleon like..he can transform into anything. 😆

Lool it s not even close.
Vicky is good in supporting roles, but let s be real, he will never be able to give a hit as the lead actor. Ranbir is way ahead of vicky.

vicky also isnt a lead actor. He was a supporting actor in all of his movies.
