After Shilpa Shetty and Sonali Bendre, Bipasha is planning her own fitness book
Bipasha Basu, finding no takers in Bollywood after her seventh horror film, Bhushan Patel's disappointing Alone in 2015, has taken up fitness with a passion and vengeance and is now seriously thinking of writing a book on the subject to encourage others to follow in her footsteps. The former Bollywood bombshell is not new to the business. She and husband Karan Singh Grover are arguably among showbiz's fittest couples. Bips has also made three fitness DVDs Love Yourself, Break Free and Unleash that did reasonably well. But now the writing bug has got to her and inspired by Shilpa Shetty and Sonali Bendre, perhaps, the Bengali beauty is taking up the pen to advise people why they should adapt healthy lifestyles.

Bipasha's book, if she pursues this intent to the end, will include the different workouts Karan and she do, including Kickboxing and Pilates, and also the customised diets that have helped her to maintain her hourglass figure at 39. According to sources, the book is in its early stages and ought to be published by the end of the year. An added feature to it might be a special chapter by Karan who was into fitness long before he met Bips on the sets of Alone and the chemistry between them carried on from the sets. Her message to people is that it takes discipline and determination to live a fit and healthy lifestyle but if you love yourself enough, you can do it. While she writes the book, Bips will simultaneously work on her fourth fitness DVD.
When pictures of Bipasha and Karan working out together, and hanging upside down in a gym, were first scooped by the paps, the actress had explained, "I like calisthenics where you only use your own body weight. It's fun to watch also. Women don't have upper body strength. When I told Karan I wanted to try the hanging upside down exercises but was afraid, he said, So what, try it out, what's the worst that can happen you'll fall.' It is this same kind of out-of-the-box advice, perhaps, from her pati that has encouraged Bipasha Basu to take up writing the fitness book. After that, who knows, the actress might just write a script and take to filmmaking with the same passion.
