Let me argue with a different example. Say you own a property worth Rs. 35cr. Someone agrees to buy it for the same amount. They pay you 30cr and then say they have run out of money and can pay only 3cr more and ask you to excuse another 2 cr. Would you excuse the amount when you know someone else will be ready to pay you Rs.35 cr for the same property? Similarly expecting someone to forgo some amount just when the entire deal is complete is not ethical on Prerna's part. However if JA is trying to release the movie without giving anything to Prerna after she spent 30cr on it that is also unethical. Ideally he should either work it out with her or return whatever amount Prerna paid to him after cutting off some damages. They should have made agreements to this effect.
Also Prerna's arguments about blindly trusting 'John Sir' sound touching but prove she is either foolish or the thinks the rest of the world is. If she really trusted someone blindly with Rs.30cr without verifying if he could deliver she should simply cut her losses and run now as she is not fit to be a businesswoman.
