Love jihad as it is
well, wait and watch ahead when she realises what a blunder she has done. But it will b etoo late by then.

If love was sufficient enough in life, there would have been no discord in anybodys families.

lust will fade when she becomes older, unappealing.
other issues will crop up.

Case of gauri,Kiran are different. They are strong independent ladies. Neither their husbands have imposed their religion on them.
Shahrukh himself conducts lakshmi puja nd ganesh puja in his red chillies office.
AAmir has a krishna idol at the entrance of his home.

Changing religion for the sake of marriage seems unreasonable to me. Love is supposed to conquer all. Why not the age old customs? Changing name is tough too. I have never understood religions much tbh. It is not my identity but it is sth that has given me faith. More like, when everything else fails, we have sth to fall back upon. I have seen people go crazy for religion but I just can't relate to it.
Khair, this changing religion thingie reminds me of Anu Mallik's brother. His brother, a muslim had a love marriage back in the days, his wife was a hindu, they both changed their religions a day before their marraige. I find it LOLsome but still cute, even though I have no clue how that makes any sense to either of them. Haha!

If why and when she's done is not something to talk about then why is she talking about it. Why give a 2 paragraph long explanation on why she doesn't wanna talk about it and why it's personal to her and why she's proud of it. πŸ€ͺ

If she changed her religion because she wanted to then more power to her. Everyone has a right to choose what religious path they go in life.

But if she's done it just to appease her hubby and family then she is the stupidest person ever. No love can be bigger then you own identity.
Religion is something most people take very very seriously. For some it's a way of life... their identity... their whole life.

I personally am not very religious but I identify myself as a Hindu that's what I've been since birth and have never felt the need to change it ... and don't think I could for someone else. And to just imagine that this girl might of changed a whole aspect of her life just for a guy is mind boggling.

Let's hope the conversion was for herself and not for appeasement.

Her marriage and the decision to convert is none of my business. She's an adult, its her life.

However, I have always found it hard to wrap my mind around the whole conversion for marriage thing. If you love someone, why would you need him/her to convert? Does your religion trump your love for that person? Isnt love supposed to be beyond all that? And especially when we have the special marriage act through which two people from different religions can get married without conversions.

Anyhow, all the best to her. I wish her happiness in life.

If they wanted to have a traditional religion based wedding then one of them had to convert i guess and it wasnt going to be the guy given the social norms that exist however they could have gone for a court instead which is what most people do when they want to avoid conversion. I wouldnt judge her so early lets see if she celebrates her hindu festivals post marriage as well n then one can decide on the liberal factor!

In anycase its her life her choice wrong or right is always debatable
