I even went back and tried to finish it a few weeks after I initially paused it mid-movie. Still couldn't finish it. What a snooze-fest. It was TRYING way too hard to be philosophical, but it really wasn't. Just a bunch of cliches posing as philosophy in a boring narrative. Nexxxt.

Seems like Shinde needs to reevaluate her career 😆

I enjoyed it a lot.
SRK as Dr Jug was amazing and as a fan I couldn't have asked for anything more from him. His character makes you want to have a Jug in your life.
I am not sure but I felt Alia's character did not actually have any serious mental illness and hence the issue could be solved real quick. It was more of a girl who needed guidance because of her past. Not every mental issue has to be life threatening or would take years to be cured. Sometimes just having someone who could listen to you without judging you can be a lot more helpful. That is what I learnt from that movie. Alias character needed someone who could just listen to her.

Yes its a refreshing change. The story is really different here. SRK's presence is captivating and his character is interesting, it connects to the viewer and you miss him when he isnt on screen. Wish they had more of his role. Alia is fine too, she suits her role. In all a good watch.

It was OK, srk was the best thing bout the film, alia performed well but her character was too confusing and annoying tbh, I didn't feel the empathy for her, I was underwhelmed by her story

Watch it for SRK's character.
It may not have delved deeper into the topic of depression, but it does make for a refreshing viewing - some cool dialogues too.

yes it is worth watching..
better than raees n all..
u will need to understand human emotions to relate
with it..
alia was wonderful in it..
her childhood insecurity due to her parents abandoning her
n then how it impacted her social behaviour was nicely
projected..

the last scene where Jug's chair creaks meaning he too fell
in love with his patient bt let her go as it was nt within the ethics
of his profession makes it a kind of a movie where u wish to say kash
kash kash ..its like the end is a open loop..could be left to imagination..

just forward the stupid singer whom alia dates for a short while..
that can cause serious headache...

You are absolutely right!! What Alia had was what we all have- unresolved feelings...unanswered questions...relationship issues...and what the movie says is that you can reach out for help in these situations! Many people suffer silently and go through their entire life with unresolved issues! That's not healthy!

It was a good movie with Alia playing her role very well. The movie nor Alia tried to create or force sympathy for her character, her character was as it is. And I really liked that thing.
SRK was really good. His character was warm and really respectable.
Although I can understand if some don't like it as it was slow paced and some dailouges were "kitabooh main hi achey lagte hai type", hence some might find it preachy.
But if you have time and are not really frustrated by slow pace, it is a good watch.

Asides I don't get this if you don't like masala movies, you will like this.
