Th problem of Padmavati does NOT lie in the Juahar! It was a fact that happened in 13th century and no one should have a problem with it IMO, a woman commiting jauhar in 13th century is not weakning 21st century women .. please grow up! 😆, take it as a historical fact .. but yes because the jauhar is very unrelatable so this reaction should have been expected .

the problem of padmavati lies in its portrayal of Khilji . The story was too black and white .. the hero/herione are Gods and the vllian is the satan .. no one enjoys such black and white stories anymore .. Khilji should have been presented with an element of grey .. some dillema .. like Bajirao faced .. some humane flaw which culd have made audience connect with him.

Everything in the film was problematic except the jauhar .. screenplay, acting, direction, story progression.

Jauhar was the only stunning visual and historically accurate as well! 😆

People jumping at Swara should remember that it's SLB's take of the poem. While fighting to get his movie released, he stressed this point.

So he could have made some of his own inputs in the movie.

Cinema is for entertainment but directors still have a responsibility. When one reads stuff like SLB honours rajputs it can be confusing as to if the "message" of the movie has been properly conveyed.

What does she want SLB to do? Show that Padmavati fought with soldiers and didn't jump in fire?

Can people like her google difference between Sati and Jauhar?

Really I mean Sati and Jauhar are as different as Sky and Earth . How people can't see the difference between the two is beyond me. And I don't get this glorification jaap. The movie is about a queen who is revered for committing Jauhar of course that fact will be glorified. It's like saying if a movie is made on Alexander then don't glorify his conquests. Of course it will be glorifies since he is known for conquering the world. Where were these letters when Baijorao mastani glorified love affair with a second woman. That time every one was fine no one called it regressive. Because every one understood the time period the movie was made in.. So what is the issue now? Can some one explain to me as per Swara what should have Padmavati done?

@Sabhyata - Swara's complaint is like if someone made a movie on Cave men, she will complain that movie is promoting cooking methods that can give food poisoning to them . Arey bhai, they are Cave men , Microwave use karenge kya🤣

I do agree with the bit that if at all JAUHAR was glorified...it shouldn't have been ...because a lot of impressionable minds can take a wrong idea from it...it could have been symbolic .
