She is an icon for the nation because of her power-packed performance in Dangal but a harrowing experience on a Vistara flight left even Zaira Wasim teary eyed.
In an Instagram story Zaira posted, the Dangal girl alleged that a middle-aged man sitting behind her on her Delhi-Mumbai Vistara flight tried to molest her.
Posting her Instagram story in two videos, one of which she recorded inside the plane and another after landing in Mumbai, Zaira narrated how the man made her two-hour journey "miserable".
"It was all chill till I felt somebody brushing against my back while I was half asleep... Guess he couldn't sit like a civilized (sic) human being and placed his feet on my arm rest while he's fully PHELOAOED (spread) his body on his seat," Zaira said in her Instagram story.
She went on to describe how she initially blamed turbulence for the man's foot being where it was. But, then she woke up to find the foot "rubbing [against her] back and neck." Zaira said she wanted to record the entire episode on camera but the lighting in the flight cabin was too dim, something that made the entire ordeal even "worse".
"Slow claps for Vistara's crew guys! Wonderful!" the Dangal girl ended her story.
Later, she posted an Instagram live from the Mumbai airport, where a visibly upset Zaira fought back her tears as she said "This is not done! this is not the way anybody should be made to feel! This is terrible!"
"Who is going to help us Girls? If we don't help ourselves, nobody will come ahead" Zaira ends her video in what seems to be a depressing commentary about the situation in our country.

@JagratiShukla29:It's wrong to shame the man accused of molestation by #ZairaWasim without hearing his side of the story She & her mother think crying @instagram instead of taking action makes sense.I think that's a publicity stunt If Molestation did occur, why hasn't she filed an FIR yet?
Taking cognisance of Zaira Wasim's recent revelations, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha on Sunday said that the passenger, who allegedly molested her on a flight, will be put on the no-fly list if the allegations are found to be true.
"Zaira Ji should do two things- firstly register an FIR and secondly, she should cooperate with airline and they could put the passenger on no-fly list if found guilty. We condemn this incident," Sinha said.
