Yes, T-series and Sonu patched up. But that was even before Dard. Sonu had released a private song with T-series in 2015 " Aa Bhi Jaa Tu Kahin Se"; and even hosted special program, on Gulshan Kumar in 2015 on Colors TV. It was organised by T-series and was titled "Suron Ke Rang Colors Ke sang". (2015).

And what Sonu sir is saying is also true that we cant expect him to be the same Sonu Nigam who was before, but there is only one problem with all this. Everytime a BW song is made, in my mind i end up imagining how it would have sounded had SN sung it and it spoils the new song for me. Ab kya karein... he is that good!!! And there is noone to replace him. Wo emotions ate hi nahin... If u are connected to him, toh ye baat un tak zaroor pohocha dena.. that no matter if he feels that we can survive on his old songs, still new songs have been spoiled for us because of how good his old songs were and we are unable to enjoy them as a result. And yes let him not sing every song thats made but he is like amir khan for me. Ek saal mein ek song ata hain, ohir bhi jo ata hain, wo dil ko choo jata hain. Toh unki legacy ko please kharab mat hone dena..!!

It was an amazing song, but if it would have been sung by Sonu then it would have taken that song to another level. Kyunki unki tarah woh songs mein expressions deta hi nahin. First Udit ji, Shaan, Kumar Sanu used to give these kind of expressions. They made the songs meaningful. Ab koi deta hi nahin. Bas i feel like everyone is screaming without really understanding the meaning of the song or what it is trying to convey. When I heard his maana ke hum this year i have been telling myself that Sonu's voice has changed but after listening to this song, i feel like his voice still retains the same freshness that it did 20 yrs ago when i first fell in love with him. So it saddens me even more, when i know that so many songs have lost their true meaning for me because he isnt the voice behind them.

@Chahat4U U are so spot on with Gerua. I heard the demonitised version and im lost as to how anyone could have replaced Sonu for that song. That song is so made for Sonu, that its a crime against music lovers that we wont get to listen to it in his voice. That was the second suraj hua maddham. Why people feel that the new singers voice suits Sharukh?

Ye mere saath bhi hua tha that i just couldnt connect to Aris voice in that song coz i kept imaging Sonu in it. 😭
