Shweta Tripathi impressed everyone with
her performance in movies namely Masaan
and Haraamkhor. She also became a part of
the film which was entirely shot on an
iPhone titled Zoo, which was backed by
Anurag Kashyap. Now, she is all set to be
seen in a film titled Cargo which is set to be
of the sci-fi genre. It is mostly based on a
spaceship orbiting in the space.The film will
be directed by Arati Kadav and produced by
Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane
along with Navin Shetty and Shlok Sharma.
As per a leading tabloid. Cargo is set to go
on floors and talking about the film, Shweta
stated, "The most exciting thing about this
film is that it is in the sci-fi genre. We have
little to show for it in Hindi films apart from
Mr India and Jaani Dushman. And even those
were not really full-fledged sci-fi."
The talented actress added, "The biggest
compliment for me is when somebody
writes a part with me in mind. When Arati
handed the script to me to read, even the
character's name was Shweta, it is being
changed now. There are certain trust and
faith they have in you. It makes me very
happy because I am extremely choosy about
the kind of work I do."
Shweta will be seen romancing Vikrant
Massey in Cargo.
Shweta will also be making her Tamil debut
in an upcoming untitled film. Talking about
it, she gave a statement, "I'm always very
keen to learn a skill or a language for my
films. And now it's learning Tamil. Besides
watching Tamil films, I've made a playlist of
songs which I hear so that the words
become familiar. Being an actor is like being
a student, and I plan to get top grades."
