When the actor was asked if Raabta's failure affected him. "It's hard to be a part of the film that doesn't do well as everyone has put their best foot forward while making it. You have to accept when there's a criticism and you have to work on the things that you are criticised for. Perhaps I had to focus on speaking Hindi now, I have been working hard on it by attending the classes. You should take all kind of criticism in your stride and really try to grow from it rather than shutting it out and pretending that it doesn't exist," he said.
The actor will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati apparently again in a negative role. Jim has no scenes with Deepika Padukone but, he says he is really enjoying working with Ranveer Singh. "I think he is a great co-actor really alive, fresh and active. I feel like we are organically figuring the scene out when I am acting with him and I love that," he said.
