Your talent puts Jeff Andrews,Nate berkus,Atelier AM and others to shame. And every actor would have flocked to the restaurant opening of the one you designed even if you weren't wife of this said Superstar.

Pro tip: Stop watching Robeson Design on Youtube and copying her style. 😆😆😆

This thread really did show the typical mentality of people.
A woman is making a name for herself... after raising her kids she is finally doing something she loves... but for people all they see is her superstar husband. Not her hard work. But why would they. They just need a chance to bash.

She has made a name for herself in Dubai.. Europe... India ... but what do people see only SRK.
People don't see that she has build her own name along with srk. Just because what she does isn't broadcasted as much as srk doesn't mean she is any less.

And what I don't understand is people saying she wouldn't even have this many clientele if it wasn't for her superstar husband. So in order to succeed you need to marry rich and have a powerful spouse. A person can't become successful on their own. *slow clap*

Gauri is a strong woman...she married SRK when he was nothing and wanted to join BW...any other woman would have run away...but she didn't ...she married him and supported him though thick and thin...👍🏼...how can this woman not have her own identity...she didn't marry a millionaire superstar...she married a struggling actor with average looks who had no money...when she married him she was ready for any consequence...and frankly speaking looking at SRK's younger pics...who would have thought that he would be the heartthrob of millions one day...

Raising a child, a proper, well-nourished, healthy, and psychologically sound human is the toughest job in this world. I'm glad for Gauri and respect her--a woman who married SRK when SRK was nothing--and worked as a stay-at-home Mom raising her kids to the best of her abilities.

I don't care if the father remains at home or the mother, but I believe one of them should be a full-time parent until the child reaches Grade 1, or better until the child hits puberty. Sadly, that means being regressive these days.. Yes, raising YOUR child full-time is regressive.

If any one had seen Gauri Khan stand like rock behind Shahrukh when he was climbing the Bollywood heights, they wouldn't say anything against her. She really was the best kind of star wife. Strong, smart, well spoken, supportive, made good contacts and was his equal partner. After Jaya's unhappy face, Gauri was breathe of fresh air. She was more Ivana Trump (that is Ivanka Trump's mom) than Melanie. People who had no business knowing her, knew her. Made right kind of contacts/ friends and generally had a huge hand in stabilizing Shahrukh's stardom and giving him a proper image. All without creating unnecessary controversy or giving out offensive statement.😊

That is just how things roll here man for the most part at least when it comes to the topics of "star wives". Bash her designs as much as you want as art is subjective anyways. It's the whole oh she only has the clients she has because of Shahrukh that I find bizarre to say the least. Do people really think the folks who are hiring her have a dearth of options in front of them. This reminded me of the thread where the news about her designing Ranbir's home was discussed. Apparently the likes of Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor too are sucking upto Gauri so that they can get in Shahrukh's good books! I mean...go figure the rationale behind some of the stuff that is stated here! 😆

She has been doing this for more than five years now. To think she is getting every project because her husband is Shahrukh is basically stating that the folks who are hiring her have no clue about what they are doing. That they are just throwing away money here despite not getting what they want. It couldn't obviously be that perhaps a lot of her clients are indeed happy with having her on board.

The fact that she has friends who happen to be famous is somehow being held against her! 😆 How dare she throw a party inviting folks who visit Mannat like every few months anyways! 😆

It is not always economically feasible for a parent to remain at home. Sometimes each parent has to work two or more jobs. Some can afford reputable day care, some rely on unvetted means such as friends, family, unlicensed daycares or their own older kids.

Secondly, no one should have to sacrifice their identity or career to raise a child. With good communication and some compromises, both parents can keep their full-time jobs and careers while giving the necessary attention to their children.

There is absolutely nothing regressive about either parent staying at home or quitting career for the sake of children, as long as they can afford it and want to do so. But the attitude that obligates parents and guilt trips them is regressive.

No one is denying that Gauri stood by SRK when he was NOTHING. Only a strong woman is capable of doing that. But all this hogwash about her being a 'self-made' designer is a grand delusion. Spin it whatever way you want, the fact remains she gets work coz she is SRK's wife. No use denying the obvious. Just coz one is in 'wuv' with SRK, does not mean one has to close one's eyes to the truth. #GrandDelusions all around.

There is a difference between facts and opinions. I remember her stating in some of her old interviews that if she ever pursued a career, it would be as an interior designer. She at one point had even bid for a store along with Shahrukh in Pali Hill that apparently is Fab India now. It's not something that has come out of the blue for her. Art is something that she has been interested in ever since her school days. So this notion that she is doing it because she has the means to or she is getting clients only because she is Shahrukh's wife is quite ludicrous. Her first project was with Susanne and it didn't come about because she happens to be Shahrukh's wife. It came about because Susanne liked her sense of aesthetic and wanted to collaborate with her. From there they went on to do a few projects together. I doubt the likes of Ranbir are hiring her as an interior designer because her husband is Shahrukh Khan. There are plenty of designers out there that they can hire. As for grand delusions...yeah...apparently using rationale here can be termed that! 😆

In some professions, especially independent businesses and creative fields, you can't thrive or even survive without some kind of network or initial connections. Maybe Gauri is good at her work or maybe she isn't, but her contacts due to being a star-wife doesn't automatically have to mean that she isn't good at or doesn't know anything about interior designing.
Btw, on an unrelated note, star-wives getting into designing has become such a cliche.. I mean, how come everyone is into interior designing or candle designing or jewellry designing or some kind of designing? Why don't we see them in any other professions?
