Shruti Haasan Out of Sanghamitra!
Hardly 10 days after officially launching the first look poster of Sanghamitra at Cannes International Film Festival, the film's leading lady Shruti Haasan has walked out of the project. While the exact reasons for Shruti opting out of the film are not known, it's confirmed by the close sources that the Gabbar Singh actress is not part of the two-part magnum opus that is touted to be made with a staggering Rs 250 Crore budget. The poster saw Shruti Haasan riding a horse with a sword in her hand. The tri-lingual historic drama featuring Jayam Ravi and Arya is going to be directed by Sundar C.
Corroborating her exit from the film, Shruti's personal spokesperson issued a statement in which it's claimed that the actress "had not received proper bound script or proper date calendar" indicating them as reasons. This is not all. The spokesperson further stated that Shruti had hired a best combat trainer and got trained since April to get ready in time for shoot.
Meanwhile, the makers of Sanghamitra are yet to respond to the claims of Shruti's personal spokesperson.
This is not first time Shruti is entangled in such issue. Earlier, she had walked out of PVP, Nagarjuna, Karthi, director Vamshi Paidipally's film Oopiri and producers had to rope in Tamanna for the role.
- The crew brought her to Cannes and it's only after being there that she walks out
- It's not the first time she does this. The last time, she even refused to refund the advance the producers gave her and promised to do an item song which she hasn't done
I think here is a clear exemple of nepotism, I don't think the likes of Kajal, Tamannaah and Samantha would have gotten away with this kind of attitude seeing as their parents aren't influencial in the film industry.
