but they should na? Should nt they ?

Investments come with risk. Generally the higher the risk the greater the potential reward. If a film turns out to be a blockbuster, would you expect the distributors to take a smaller share than they had agreed to since the film made more money than expected? This blind (like so many) makes absolutely no sense - distributors are said to lose money more often than not in India (which also to me seems not quite right because how would any stay in business then?)

didnt raees made 116cr agaisnt a budget of 80r?

by this logic distributors should be asking excel for money as well, raees may have collected more but by percentage (budget vs collection) kaabil made more...

everyone can come up with a headline and end it with a "?" and "we heard" as a source and make it into a news article these days...

that budget is not by trade analysts but by papa roshan

trade analysts say the budget is around 90..and it barely hit 90

papa R multiples the collections and divides the budget on his magical calculator

no they don't

but in this case the producer is openly claiming the movie is a superhit where as distributors suffered heavy losses..he is only listening to them with the fear that they may go public with the losses which will expose his lies..

Kaabil final collection will be 86 cr with 43 Cr distributor Share... Loss will be there, but not this much huge that DS will ask money back. They have made 2/3 times over Hrithik/RR combo of those blockbuster films earlier, this 1 or 2 films won't make any difference.

Stupid PR article... This is a risk business, today few CR loss, some other day more than estimate profits in CR, when then money is not shared with makers, why demand now.

How is this possible?
I am not into collections. Both might be superhits. Both might be flop. But fact is, Kaabil was sold to distributors for low price.

On the other hand, Raees was sold at a higher price to distributors.

Profit or loss is distributor's risk. But chances of Kabil's distributors undergoing loss are less likely.
