Remember Darsheel Safary, that kid who played the dyslexic boy Ishaan Awasthi in Taare Zameen Par 10 years ago? The one who stole our hearts with his innocence and acting prowess, and made us cry when he was forcibly sent to a boarding school? Well, he is no longer the adorable boy we loved so much. He will soon be 20, has grown up as handsome as he was cute, and is all set to make a comeback in the movies.
Darsheel will soon be seen in Quickie, a movie that's been touted as a teenage love story and is helmed by filmmaker Pradip Atluri. Film critic Taran adarsh shared this information on his Facebook page earlier on Tuesday.
Darsheel, who made a blockbuster debut in Bollywood alongside Aamir Khan with Taare Zameen Par in 2007, went on to star in films like Bumm Bumm Bole (2010) and Midnight's Children (2012). He also participated in the fifth edition of the popular reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2012.
Since September, the young actor has been busy with theatre, working on his first play, Can I Help You?'
We cannot wait for Quickie to hit the theatres but since its release date is far from being finalised, here's a quick look at the gorgeous teen and the next big movie star (we hope).
