In the core of Hinduism there is only one god... just like water, where if you add a certain color to its it takes its properties smilarly God is pure Brahm (the eternal truth) ... add some properties like ability to create, sustain and destroy and they becaome Brahma, Vishnu, or Mahesh... but they are all essentially the brahm... just like red water, green water, or blue water... are all essentially water...
