They just feel they can say whatever nonsense they want and get away with it in the name of freedom of speech! Here we have people from every country, community co-existing in such a amicable manner only because we exercise discretion in using our freedom of speech...Commonsense things like you just don't talk about Nazis in front of the Germans etc...We as common people have much more commonsense than these so called celebrities...and this Dadlani guy, what a derogatory and insensitive comment? what is the need for it? did he achieve anything out of it?

I may not know the full case details but going by his tweet it doesn't look like he is making fun of Jains but the dressing sense of an individual. This is no different than criticizing Zakir Naik or Praveen Togadia etc. They maybe a follower of a certain religion but definitely not a religious figure itself.

If I am not mistaken the pic in his tweet is morphed and it shows the monk without an undergarment which he wasn't actually

The liberals are getting the taste of their own medicine..

Its horrible how some liberals with AAP cover would mock and insult the prime minister of this country in every tweet of theIrs. The negativity and venom they spew keeps on growing day in and out. Now that also is an abuse of freedom of speech.

Vishal's target was again PM's acche din and bhagwa here, too bad he crossed the line over the Jain leader.

Tarun Sagar ji, the Jain monk, belongs to the Digambar sect of Jainism. They usually wear no clothes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digambara

Here's an article to fully understand what transpired. http://www.newslaundry.com/2016/08/29/tarun-sagar-and-the-naked-truth/

Thanks. Good read. So he is a monk just like Yogi Adityanath or the Shahi Imam of Delhi. In my opinion I do not consider him a major religious figure. If people can criticise Yogi ji and Shahi Imam then it is pretty much the same. I believe Kamlesh Tiwari and Akbaruddin Owaisi rightly went to prison because they directly picked on religious figures which can incite communal disharmony which could result in riots, and loss of life and property etc.

I guess they saw it as an attack on that sect of Jainism cos he was ridiculed for his Digambar beliefs. Shahi Imam is almost a wily politician and Yogi Adityanand is indeed a wily politician. This guy is a monk, He was invited to speak on a multitude of issues just like the Pope addresses the Congress sometimes. Maybe that's why the uproar.
