The 'Hero' debutant will feature alongside Parineeti Chopra and Suniel Shetty in choreographer Bosco Martis's directorial debut which rolls in December.
A year after he made his acting debut with Hero, Sooraj Pancholi seems to have gone on a signing spree of sorts. After Remo D'Souza's dance-action movie with Ajay Devgn which kick-starts in September, and debutant filmmaker Pierre Timmins's soccer-based film, the actor is now on-board for choreographer Bosco Martis's directorial debut, Circus.
The musical drama, which centres on a father-daughter relationship spanning a decade features Parineeti Chopra, and Suniel Shetty as her old man.
Mirror (August 12) had earlier informed that scripting for the film began a year ago. "The story revolves around the dying craze for the circus. Sooraj will be seen doing some daredevil acts. There is a romantic track between Sooraj and Pari," informs a source close to the development.
In an earlier interview to Mirror (October 12), Sooraj had revealed that he wanted to do another action film and a love story. "The content-driven subjects can wait till I am a little more experienced," the 25-year-old actor had said. According to the source, Circus is a mix of both.
"Sooraj liked the script. He will start prep after signing on the dotted line," the source adds. For now, the actor is concentrating on his homework for Pierre's film in which he plays an underdog footballer and is dedicating a few hours every day to mastering the sport. He has been training with professional coaches and will be losing around 10 kg for the film.
Circus rolls in December and will have extensive action and dance sequences with fire and water acts.
