I found him to have had the best debut with Johny Gaddar and also liked his acting in New York.
what happened, he suddenly vanished and was out of the main league. I mean he was even better looking than most of the ranbir's ranveers arjun's and varuns...my personal opinion

if the likes of arjun kapoor, ranbir kapoor , Imran khan can get so many chances despite several flops , why isn't he being considered for big projects . The guy was reduced to doing 5 min scenes in PDRP and Waazir...

is it politics being played by the film fraternity or something else

I also believe he was once dating Asin and that didn't work out , I know salman, akshay , ajay were all buddies of asin...did they do tarnish his career behind the scenes

The fact that Ranbir won for Saawariya the year Neil had Johnny Gaddar (for best debut) is the best example of nepotism in this industry.

The funny thing is Neil is also an industry kid even though his family doesn't have a lot of clout as Ranbir's family does.

Neil simply had no proper backing from any of the biggies. The YRFs and the Dharmas are obsessed with Ranbirs, Varuns and Siddharths. So where exactly does that leave Neil? Nowhere.

I think he did several movies on and off. But lady luck didnt bode well to him although he was quite good looking. Probably the producers thought they were 3 different actors and didnt had a budget.

How can Salman tarnish Neil's career? didn't he recently work with him in PRDP?
for everything blame Salman.

On topic: Neil is a great actor. Saw most of his movies and really like his work.
He has the guts to stand up against srk and saif when they were making fun of his last name. They were almost implying he has two dads. Neil pretty much asked them to shut up.

Hope he gets good movie roles and has a good career.

PS: When Neil's dad talks about salman in interviews, you can tell their family likes salman.

Neil's problem is same as Hrithik and many western looking actors. It is what I call "cutie problem"
They do not appeal to Indians I think

There was one Jugal before as well who was a big flop. Aditya Pancholi also

These cuties are not liked by desis as heroes

Aamir Khan and Hrithik are two exceptions though. Aamir had to work hard to do quality films while Hrithik needed support from his ganja dad.

Other cuties with less support were washed away into history

I loved him in Shortcut Romeo and Lafangey Parindey. NNM explores with stories and not usual choice, I find him super hot and cute "blushes". would love to see him in good movies

He is good actor actually, has a sort of clam acting. Also fully agree about JG, he absolutely deserved the FF debut award over Ranbir, but than again FF is always about who dances well in thier show lol(yup Niel also danced there, but foxk off).It is a mystery why he failed, maybe as Hippo said his overly fair looks may have been one of the reason, as almost all of his solos tanked. But guy is talented, and is few of the industry kids who knows how to act well. but I hope he makes good comebacks, not as an lead actor but meaty supporting roles.

He actually is a good actor better than the likes of Siddharth and Varun(IMO) to name a few. But as always luck plays a huge role and doesn't seem to be on his side at the moment.
I hope he gets to make better choices and doesn't have to settle for movies like kya kool hain types

Me too. I like him as an actor.
But he can't really dance. So he won't conneect with masala movies.. Thus the mass audience may not know or like him that much. Esp cos he looks really fair.

He gets roles where he is overshadowed by the biggies. Doesn't help
