What bank balance? He didn't have money to gift his daughter a fancy car. The money he got from that pankha ad he bought a car for Rinkey. He had taken money from Big Boss producers to participate on the show.. Dimple and daughters feared he may wash dirty linen on national TV and make a fool of himself. So, Akki paid the Big Boss producers off.

Rajesh khanna's personal life was a mess. And all of it is his own doing...his tantrums, whims, quirks, all this is well documented..but he was definitely charming..that's the reason he had women falling for him despite him being what he was ..
But the legacy they r talking about is strictly related to his career..his choices in movies, songs, stories, his acting etc..
And I don't agree with Naseer there..stories of his movies were not at all mediocre..most of them r my all time favs..
Talking about mediocrity in songs ..dunno how much say he had in those..but have a look..

Good response.
And Just because Dimple had issues with Rajesh Khanna in her personal life - she can't comment on his professional status / share her views on his professional life ? 😆

In personal life Rajesh Khanna was Tharki to the highest order..From Tina Munim to Anju Mahendra to Dimple Kapadia and to his numerous affairs..He always took advantage of his superstardom and was abusive to the women of his life...Its heard that women used to throw themselves on Rajesh and he used to shower them with money and gifts..Drink party with loads of so called friends and chamcha was regular at his residence and only expensive foreign liquor was served..He was not practical about money and was only show-off..No wonder the chamchas abandoned him during sunset when he was left with little money, little stardom...
Dimple was with Sunny Deol all along until Sunny fell for Raveena Tandon which finally led them to their break up. But Dimple did campaign for Rajesh Khanna when he thought of contesting in parliamentary election.

Here I think Dimple is talking about 'only' his career and she sounds reasonable.

i won't comment on personal life cos frankly all actors/ stars have more or less the same attitude..mood swings as we call it which rajesh khanna displayed during his stardom days...its the nature of this industry which breeds such personalities..
but i do agree with naseeruddin shah's comments about him being a mediocre actor..he really was...though he had done some fabulous movies like anand, aradhana and safar, namak haram etc but his caliber as an actor was really limited...i could never understand the craze he created in his wake

however to criticise someone when he is no more is insensitive esp to his family...

i also agree his comment on amitabh...mr. bachchan never really challenged himself as an actor...he always played safe with masala movies during his hay days..thus reduced to a commodity or a star and not an actor as he rightfully was...he did much better movies during his later stint!
