'Kapoor and Sons' is movie magic. Fawad Afzal Khan has taken his acting game to the next level and proven he is more than just a 'superstar'. Now in a league of his own.

I dont think his core audience has reacted very negatively towards his role. Atleast I have seen people talking about acting prowess more than him choosing the role. And what kind of generalisation is that female fans heart is broken knowing he is playing this and the household audience too? Its a role onscreen and I guess be it core audience, female fans or the elderly members of the family went ahead and watched the film without judging him.i really dont think people here or in pakistan are being suoersensitive about a handsome man pkaying an offbeat character and lashing out. Rather he has shown his skill like never before and earned respect and accolades. So lets not mix up everything. Yes it was a great gutsy decision on his part despite having reservations about intimacy issues. And for that all the credit goes to the director gor handling it most subtle, mature way and Fawad keeping faith in him. I have seen his contemporaries back home tweeting about him. So yup lets appreciate its effort and let him enjoy all the praises with glory. He has impressed people a lot and hope its new beginning.the naysayers will keep blabbering no matter what, does it matter to him? Absoulutely no. Its a big thumbs up from Fawad khan from all corners. 😳

Agreed. He has played a character that doesnt define who he is in real life. So the question of female hearts getting broken is stupid. I think they were already broken when they came to know of his marriage. Anyways I am really glad tht most ppl have been positive to this. And I really hope he wins awards next year. Iam counting on Jitu to atleast give him a critics award for best actor.

towards the end of 2nd half, Fawad is like a jawala, a volcano about to erupt. monitor his each move, his each expressions is simply killing. that's called acting perfection ...right there.
its biru whom I am awe of when it came to performances, but boy..Fawad just easily makes my top list of actors. feels good...that there is variety of actors ..great actors ...makes Bollywood m movies more interesting.

and Sid, still needs lots of improvement, but you were damn likable here. the fact that you tried and didn't let it slip away...I give it to you! just hang in there...

Shakun ...easily one of the best directors out there. I wonder what's next for him, cos I cannot wait!

Yes whats that generalisation is about? Really? Female fans are that brainless to think oh he is playing a homosexual , sowhat will happen to us? What nonsense! 😆

I dont know about awards as its too much politucs, lobby and all, hope he gets nominations in major awards for this brave attempt. I am praying that he gers better projects and does more work henceforth.

Despite being Fawad's fan for the last 2 years and 200% convinced about his acting prowess, he surprised me. The magic that we saw on screen was much more than what I had expected. He owned each and every scene that he was a part of.

Probably for the nth time today - I am a super proud fan 😊 and feel on top of the world

Alia, you don't need an author backed role to prove histrionics.

I had not understood raja sen's comment on alia.. but in the party when the body builder guy says to alia giving baloons thank you for coming (which raja sen is refering to) her giggle is really adorable..

just watch this today
hmmm actually this dysfunctional family theme in bollywood not really THAT new, cept the gay twist thing (maybe), overall FOR a bollywood movie it's good but in general it's nothing new, maybe that's why I dont get that surprise feeling or anticipated something, the joke sometimes funny and most of times I cringe a lot lol (this movie probably wont last more than 2 weeks in my country)

all in all it make me want to IMMEDIATELY watch August Osage Country to clean my soul lmao
and nope it's nowhere near AOC more like love the coopers type

but like I said for Bollywood standard it's good enough

3/5
