The poor flow of releases that started since the release of Neerja will end this week Kapoor & Sons and a better flow of releases over the next few weeks. The main question is that will the better flow result is success at the box office.
This week will see Kapoor & Sons which is relying on its music for an opening. The Chal Kar Gayi is a hit song and probably the only hit song of the year but on the other side is the very dull theatrical and talkie promos, this may well have the upper hand over the music. A better theatrical would have probably made the music have a better impact which would result in a more wider appeal.
The film looks a weird / quirky type of film with a setting on some hill station. A bit similar to the flop film Finding Fanny, the difference being the setting was Goa for that film. It will mean business relying on big improvement in the metros on Saturday, outside the metros even if improvement comes, its unlikely to hold.
The plusses for the film will be Overseas as one ot the heroes has a following with the audience of Pakistan origin in United Kingdom and Gulf as well as home nation Pakistan so Overseas will perform a bit better than normal.
The other plus is reasonable costs which are not tough to cover especially with revenues outside India theatrical but eventually it comes down to some sort of sustaining in India business for all involved if the film does not open.
PS: LMAO! KRK predicting 3-4cr opening day while this guy...
