Interesting points in this interview:

  • Both think that sometimes it is better to overlook logic in a particular scene to keep the audience emotionally connected to the film.
  • When Inception released, they realised the second half they originally wrote for PK was similar to that film, so they had to change it. 😲
  • RK Hirani was doubtful the film would work with the audience. And while he relieved that it has worked, I think he feels somewhere that he could have done a lot better.

this week i watched RM's directors round table
i love vishal bhardwaj as a director more
but was most impressed by hirani's answers
in that rountable iv i to know raju hirani was a student of FTII
clarity of thoughts, his inspirations
and knowledge of cinema is admirable!
i watched some more of his interviews
he is a film fanatic watches all kinds of films
i hope he continues making the kind of films he does.
