Yeah maybe in 50 years. But seems like Manyata bhabi is in a hurry to make the movie now. Why? Is it for the money? I don't think she is trying to clean up his image as I doubt that he can stand for elections again as he is a convicted felon.

Every person if grey in nature... Its not good to project someone in negative perspective or project person as go-lucky person!
Raju wants to do same! He feels obliged to Sanju and wants to improve his image in public domain which has been trashed due to latest controversies surrounding him!

To be honest, the film will be really entertaining! His life is full of suspense, drama, romance, mystery, affairs!!

I still think this is Priya and Manyata's PR. They probably requested Hirani and Ranbir (both are Sanju's good friends) to play along. Just like a few directors announce their movie with Sallu Bhai, so that later they can get a big production house to bankroll it and get a good budget while making the movie with a rising star.

Why not if they can make an engaging film? And I don't agree with the notion that movies are a medium to pay just homages that they shouldn't make films on controversial characters. People won't watch a film even on Gandhi if its not worth it. Its a business and an art and let Hirani tell his version. He's someone who makes films that stays with you for long when others are struggling to sustain it past three days.

Yeah but she died before they made it. Here Sanju baba is in jail. Unless Raju will show things as it is with regards to the arms case, credibility will be questionable. Ofcourse he can show Sanjay as the unsung hero who fought against all odds considering what he had to deal with Why are all our celebrities being suddenly so narcissistic?? A MSD biopic, mary kom biopic when they are still actively playing & half their life story isn't even told. Atleast wait till they retire🥱

Films are made 'cos people find their story interesting. I really enjoyed The Wolf of Wall Street and didn't even know such a conman existed. People can ask what did he do to deserve a film based on him? Nothing. Just that his story would make an interesting film. People make documentaries of celebrities all the time so why not films where you can take creative freedom?

No I didn't say that biopics about controversial characters should not be made. Raju could make a movie loosely based on Sanjay Dutt story & I have no objection to it. But I will question his credibility if he ends up making a so called biopic by being selective about what part he wishes to tell. Ofcourse I could be wrong & Hirani might come up with a very honest story but then I doublt he will show Sanjay accepting his crime. He might as well skip that part or show Sanjay's side of the story which will throw new questions on the conviction which will question the motive behind the timing of the movies. Too many controversies IMO. I think Raju should just shelve this for now.
