Ray's films (barring a few) are as interesting and fun as a well made commercial film, Naseer is a bundle of contradiction

I am questioning the Paki hatred that is being pedalled through the film unneccessarily and I am asking why they could not have made a truthful film about Milkha as it actually happened.

^fair point...surprised he likes Farah's films but he's right TMK was a crap film.

Naseer is a prick.
He also keeps changing opinion like weather!

He used to bash Aamir Khan earlier (after Sarfarosh and more after Lagaan was made Oscar entry over Monsoon Wedding) but started praising him after he gave him and his wife work in Jaane tu ya jaane na. Usually bashed commercial cinema (partly due to his own failure in it) but now praising Farah Khan because she cast his son.

Whatever that suits his convenience is praiseworthy for him.

Regarding BMB, this is a fact that there was intense rivalry between India and Pakistan. Whatever films show is just a fraction of what truth was. Sikhs and Punjabis bore worst brunt of it.
Rather Sikhs used to face discrimination from other religions in India. All those things like stripping Milkha or pulling his hair are reality.

BMB was not peddling any agenda or playing to galleries with Pakistan related stuff.

I consider songs and Sonam angle as unnecessary trifles.

Cinema is a medium to sell fantasies. This is why more good looking guy was chosen for BMB.
Regardless of his records, fact is Milkha Singh was among earliest and rare Indian athletes to make a mark internationally. This is why he is an icon. This bhaand Naseer has no right to comment on others' lives and achievements!

Why doesn't he take a look at his own cinema? What was Tehelka? A clear cut dig at China! His Masoom justified extramarital affairs and illegitimate kids. He lent legitimacy to illegitimate kids again in Naajayaz. I am only listing few flicks here. If you dig his career you will find questionable themes and low brow films in plenty!

Too much of a chip on his shoulder on account of being an FTII and NSD alumnus! Does that make him pundit of world cinema?

Exactly!

If I'm telling the story of one day of my life and say I slipped on a banana peel thrown by my neighbor, I need to write about another unfortunate guy with whom the same thing happened at some other street? Why should I talk about that other guy? I was supposed to tell you my story, right?
