I read the PV comments and apparently she mentions HTP because she is saying Pari is getting films because of her cousin PC. But since when did HTP became a career changing film like Richa is saying?
Fact is even if Richa Chadda is a star kid..she's not going to go far..she doesn't look heroine material.

Parineeti is definitely talented & she is not offered movies because of her being PC's sister. She has that movie owing to YRF contract. I have no idea who Richa Chada is but her statements do make sense when it comes to nepotism. For an outsider it's a daunting task to make a break in industry. It cannot be denied that every other actors/actresses getting launched belong to someone from film industry. Karan Johar who is one of the biggest directors in India himself admitted that nepotism plays a big role in casting!

From what I understood, the answer about HTP isn't with regards to nepotism actually but simply about backing. Pari is being managed by YRF so that certainly helps. They don't exactly get you films from outside PH's but you do get to be part of the YRF brand and that somehow places you higher than those other outsiders. Here:
You've acted in over five films. How important do you think it is to have a Karan Johar or an Ekta Kapoor backing you?
It surely makes a huge difference as they are clued into the industry's network and ensure you get more eyeballs. Even I would like to be associated with the big filmmakers but the choice is not mine. They are the ones to pick and choose. For instance, a Hasee Toh Phasee could have been a turning point for me.
^^ HTP could have been a turning point to her as she had a real chance of working with a bigger production house, in a bigger setup, with proper promotions and exposure. The films she is working on now don't even have a guaranteed release and hardly any promotions.
The question about nepotism came up after that:
And they choose the likes of Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha who come from film families. Does that bother you?
Not only me, the nepotism in Bollywood would anger anybody. It's so unfair! I remember Anurag Kashyap telling me that it will take me five films to achieve what the star kids get with one. True! But family legacy cannot be a substitute for talent.

Yup but I find both of them and also Shradha, Sonakshi strictly average in looks and talent in comparison to others in industry ( DP,PC, Kangana, Anushka etc.).
Yes unfortunately nepotism is everywhere and I guess it annoys anyone who has to face it!What a lame thing to say...nepotism exists everywhere ..not only in bollywood...
