If you ever look at Fair and lovely ads , you can see that the fairness almost remains the same in the comparison . It is only the increasing smile which makes the model look beautiful.

The only thing that I see is SRK endorsing fairness creams.

For which he should be BANNED. 😡

Well it depends how you understood the message, because it clearly says...
"Look anywhere and everywhere, there are blatant and subtle reinforcements that only fair is beautiful"
The flyer says that NOT only fair is beautiful, dark is beautiful too

There is a difference between saying, "dark is beautiful" and "stay unfair, stay beautiful".

This is so childish. Stay unfair(/dark)? What the hell?
Look I genuinely find dark girls more attractive but its pointless to say its better to stay dark etc.
At the end of the day your boyfriend/husband's eyes are the only thing that matters. Stop thinking about you skin color for goodness' sake instead of trying to stay unfair etc.

YES our society is obsessed with white skin and GOD how

I have completed my PG, going for Phd in future after some experience and people (relatives and society all) Started doing research why am I not ready to settle or why 'rishtas' are not coming? And started giving me various fairness techniques since I am dark so that rishtas start coming! What the hell...what if I want to focus on career?

I came to know all this BS and I am shocked!

Ignore the negativity Sudha , wow...going for Phd, that's great !! All the best for your career and I am 200% sure that you will find a great match whenever you are ready to find one !! 🤗

How ironic in America light skinned people go to tanning booths to get dark, and in India people use fairness creams to get light skin. No one is ever satisfied with themselves.

But isn't it doing the same thing by saying Unfair is beautiful so implying darker skin is more beautiful than fair skinned people. I would have preferred it to have shown that no matter if your are dark or fair you are beautiful.

No I don't think its doing the same thing, This is against fairness cream so of course they would put more emphasis on dark skin, unfair,
I don't see anything wrong in "stay unfair, stay beautiful" - to me, its saying unfair/dark is beautiful as well...
doesn't mean fair is not beautiful ...

It's how you see it.

Surely, We can find some flaws in a line and divert from the main point , but if you see the bigger picture here then All those who endorses fairness skin cream - be it DP, SRK should be ashamed of themselves...and Kudos to Nandita Das for spreading some awareness and taking up this mission of dark is beautiful. Credit should be given when its due.😊

Not ironic at all as the color of a tanned white body and a very fair skinned indian is pretty close.
