SRK makes every woman comfortable, completely agreed and he can create chemistry with anyone, also agreed but it's been 20 years and his chemistry with Kajol stands in its own stead...

I think it's also because as he's mentioned many times, Kajol was probably his only heroine from that era when he was just starting out who was around his age...they basically MADE IT TOGETHER...that is what puts Kajol in a different league...SRK has been friends with many people for 20 years but with Kajol it's different...Juhi, Madhuri were senior in the industry to him, Kajol was his peer...the others were all younger and came later until now we've reached a stage where he's romancing women half his age.

So the fact that SRK-Kajol were on a similar journey together during that early crucial part of their career and sort of got established together in those early years just continued on in tone...for whatever reason...their common friends like KJo could be the reason for the continued bonding but it has remained in its special place...SRK's other heroines haven't been able to match that equation...this friendship wala love has topped all other loves๐Ÿ˜†

THIS right here.

It's very simple. They both became stars TOGETHER, from the SAME movies. Both have acted better in films with others, but it is with each other they found THAT level of success...it's that journey...and that's partly why they will always be special to each other. It's like your first co-star is always special to you...the one who become a star with is always special too. There's no pretences between them either..There's a very clear cut difference...almost all other heroines of SRK fangirl over him, they're like tripping over each other to praise him to the skies, work with him, etc...and Kajol is one of the very very few who doesn't. She's like the backslapping buddy you have, the one who tells you you're an idiot when you need to hear it...and I think SRK respects that part of their relationship also.

Have you read this Filmfare interview where he talked about his relationship with all his heroines?

SRK always hugs people, but I have seen mostly half hugs and/or hugs with his eyes open. Sometimes he clenches his fists. If a picture is worth a thousand words and body language does not lie and speaks volumes, the way he has closed his eyes, has a little smile. clasped his hands fully around her and made a circle and brought her close to his heart shows to me that Kajol is someone who he is immensely comfortable with and has lots of affection for. Nothing romantic about it, but after all the stories about them falling out it is so nice to see what their friendship is really like.

THIS...

I am not a big fan of SRK-Kajol jodi but i have to agree on what u just said.

And I love that about her...sycophants are a dime a dozen and as it is SRK's personality seems to overwhelm half his heroines also cuz ummm they were like 10 years old when they watched him in DDLJ...#awkward๐Ÿ˜†...It is so refreshing to watch a Kajol doing her usual W*F expressions in his presence and never overwhelmed by his persona as THE SRK...

Thanks for sharing this interview...wow it's 8 years old, haan? LOL but I LOVEE his description of her...saying she's like Haley's Comet๐Ÿ˜†...these new pictures sort of reflect what he spoke about in this interview too, no? That the love that she spreads is so genuine, so overwhelming, THAT is why it leaves an impact on the people she showers it on...him especially...and his kids too...

Loved his description of her acting style too
I realised that there's a quality about her which is beyond our capability to recognise. And that quality is not technique; it's not energy like mine. It's not understanding. It's belief. If she believes, she's fantastic. If she doesn't believe she'll laugh at her own film, at her own scene at her own trial. I've seen her do that.
I guess that is why this magic can't be described...this indescribable quality she has that is so unique to her as far as acting ability is concerned...that is what creates the magic on screen...no one can BOTTLE it, MANUFACTURE it, CLONE it...it is an inherent thing.

And then this quote...haha๐Ÿ˜†
Kajol is the Mani Ratnam of actresses.
An interesting read overall for his description of all the actresses he's worked with...loved what he said about Juhi too...

Loved this tribute I found on YT

SRK: sab si achi heroine duniya ki
Kajol: now you know why we're friends - it's a mutual, admiration society.

๐Ÿ˜†

This is an adorable tribute.

All of SRK's other heroines are somewhat formal with him...with the younger lot, I guess it's expected but even with the older lot of actresses..you never see them randomly slapping SRK on the back or calling him demented, crazy, mad and neither do you see them joking around endlessly, laughing hysterically together or even being blunt and honest with each other. Kajol could literally say anything to SRK and it's all good..I mean even SRK can say "Kajol can drive you nuts sometimes" and it's perfectly fine. They can just cut each other midway while speaking and it's all cool. They have this special bond which is actually unheard of in bollywood. A lot of times, actor and actresses have amazing chemistry onscreen and then you see them offscreen and you're kind of left disappointed as it's nothing genuine or what one was expecting. With these two, they're just as comfortable with each other offscreen if not more...it's kind of like, if they can't come in a movie together..just ask them to do an interview together and that'll be so worthwhile as well. ๐Ÿ˜†

I sometimes wonder how many takes Kajol requires to do her romantic scenes..she seems the kind to just RANDOMLY burst into laughter...especially with such scenes.. ๐Ÿ˜†..you even notice it in this video.

i swear to god these two can drive someone crazy...๐Ÿ˜†
most of you have already mentioned what i wanted to say...i do that agree both of them rely on each other and because of the fact that srk was known because of kajol and vice versa...these two always have to go together...and like you guys mentioned above i think the fact that kajol is literally one of his only co-stars that doesn't go all gaga and fangirly ish about him makes their friendship more special...atleast out of all his co stars i feel she is the most confortable with him and it's really obvious the way she hits him randomly, or how she can insult him like calling him stupid and all...
and he doesnt even try to make her feel confortable with him like he does with other actresses because i think they have passed that stage...

oh god now i'm hungry for an interview with both of them together...plus that tribute just made me go nostalgic about them
awnnn bless these two โค๏ธ they need to return on screen ASAP!!

Weeks back, I rewatched KKHH...it's such a guilty pleasure...mom, sis, and I just laughed through all of it..you don't have to use your brain, just be taken on the ride...the film btw belongs completely to Kajol. The nok-jhoks in K3G were hilarious fun too. ๐Ÿ˜†

I love the DDLJ deleted scenes as well! The trying-to-make-each-other jealous scene is so cliched but I still love it...these two make all the cheesiness/clichedness work

Aww I hope so too...I genuinely hope someday we can see them together again, but I don't want to see Kajol in the crap SRK normally does..I miss Kajol onscreen...

I agree, the promotions for MNIK with these two were really nice. And, I completely agree with KKHH belonging to Kajol. She was beyond awesome as Anjali. I also think her role was the best written. She always gets me teary eyed when I watch that scene right before the song, tujhe yaad na meri aaye..where she thinks he's confessing his love for her meanwhile it's for that Tina...๐Ÿ˜†..it gets to me every time and I give full credit to Kajol because she really acted so effortlessly. As SRK would say, she only does a scene when she believes in it..and if she doesn't you can always tell. I believe this scene would be an example of the former. I find her to be a natural...in particularly, I think she has some of best crying scenes..she does it so well. Oh and KKHH despite it's cheesiness etc..it's still one of those films which you can't help but adore because I think most of us grew up watching that film. I know I did..and although I may not agree with everything KJo tried presenting..I'll always have a soft spot for KKHH, regardless. K3G on the other hand was indeed more about the nok-joks as you said..๐Ÿ˜† Also, KKHH had more of a soul..probably because it was Karan's first film and he put some sincere effort into it...and it honestly does show. I didn't see much of that with K3G...it was kind of all over the place. ๐Ÿ˜†

lol just saw the deleted scenes. They should've included the scene you're talking about..it's cute!..and, exactly - their scenes/dialogues no matter how cheesy or lame they may seem when viewed in a general sense - SRK and Kajol just always make you think otherwise. And, if we keep waiting for Kajol and SRK to star in something substantial together than that may take so long..considering SRK's films have been really meh lately...but, hopefully soon.
