Leonardo DiCaprio Earns Additional Oscar Nomination for The Wolf of Wall Street

That's because the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has determined that DiCaprio is one of the four producers who will walk away with a statuette should The Wolf of Wall Street win Best Picture.

Not too shabby considering DiCaprio already received a nod last week in the Best Actor category for his performance in the flick.

Meanwhile, Martin Scorsese, who is up for Best Director for helming The Wolf of Wall Street, was also recognized as a producer as well, along with Joey McFarland and Emma Tillinger Koskoff.

The announcement now means DiCaprio has a total of five career Oscar nominations and Scorsese (who won for directing 2006's The Departed) has 12.

But DiCaprio and Sorsese aren't the only 2014 double nominees, which include Steve McQueen (producer and director of 12 Years a Slave), David O. Russell (director and co-writer of American Hustle), Steve Coogan (producer and co-writer of Philomena) and Megan Ellison (producer of American Hustle and Her).

Then, of course, you have triple nominees Alfonso Cuarn (producer, director and co-editor of Gravity) and Spike Jonze (writer, producer and songwriter for Her).

The 86th Annual Academy Awards will be broadcast live from Hollywood's Dolby Theatre on March 2.

I have a very bad feeling he might not win again after seeing the SAG awards where Matthew won and Leo wasn't even nominated.

SAG awards are chosen by your co-actors/industry people and usually they say you win SAG means you win Oscar like JLaw and Jessica Chastain were going neck to neck until SAG but JLaw won there and we know who got the Oscar later

As for best film category, there's no way Wolf of Wall Street will get it...it will be either 12 years a slave (Brad Pitt wants an Oscar desperately too) OR American Hustle (same David O'Russell is thirsty for an Oscar as well).

After robbing him for the Aviator and Catch Me If You Can and Revoluionary Road, he deserves as many as he can. ๐Ÿ˜†

But this was his year. Going from GG and WOW...2 different tones and phenomenal performances. Let's hope they don't rob him again.

I don't even want Wolf of Wall Street to win it...I feel that Martin Scorcese and Leo should take a break from each other. But even though SAG and Golden Globes and the like can usually be predictors of the awards, the Oscars can still do a 180 and pick someone else (since it is biased as well). Plus, there's been buzz that Leo's been shafted from an Oscar win about 5 times now... Just like how there was that buzz a few years ago with Meryl Streep and especially Kate Winslet not having won after having been nominated a large number of times. Hence I think they're just trying to bump up his chances of winning here.

I have a little theory on JLaw...that since she couldn't win for The Hunger Games, they gave it for SLP instead last year...but that's just me๐Ÿ˜†

^The thing I notice about the Oscars is that they give it to people that seem less likely to ever win again like Sandra, Julia, Gwenyth, Mickey Rourke, Aidan Brody. And ppl like Meryl, Kate, Leo who keep getting nomianted time and time again don't win b/c of that whole nomination that "even being nominated is an honor". The only time I felt Leo deserved it more was for Aviator. I think he's one of the few actors that's consistently good and knows his character inside out and he's NOT method which makes me love him mpre--b/c he knows how to work hard, switch if off and then go and play harder.

JLaw winning SLP was b/c the way she lobbied and campaigned. Plus, winning Harvey Weinstein's heart helps too. She was def good and I think ppl like that she wasn't another Kristen Stewart. I sure hope Lupita wins!

I think this year either Matthew or Leo will win. I want Leo to win Oscars because he's one of the best actors ever n genuinely deserves Oscar but somehow if I compare between Wolf of Wall Street n Dallas Buyers Club, I think Dallas Buyers Club is better.

Well .. I would have been happy if Leo had won an Oscar when he was nominated for The Aviator or for Blood Diamond BUT I simply didn't like The Wolf of Wall Street. It was a shitty movie, not something I expected from Leo and Scorsese. I couldn't tolerate that movie, so I do seriously hope that Leo does not win the Oscar this time.
