With Chennai Express putting up record-breaking numbers globally, Shahrukh Khan has once again proved that he only competes with himself in the overseas markets.
His latest release Chennai Express has smashed all records in UAE-GCC setting new records across every city that the film released in. The Rohit Shetty directed film also had the widest release for a Bollywood film in UAE.

1. Chennai Express – 12.9 crore ($2.1 million)
2. Jab Tak Hai Jaan – 7.9 crore ($1.43 million)
3. Dabangg 2 – 7.05 crore ($1.28 million)
4. Ek Tha Tiger – 6.8 crore ($1.22 million)
5. Talaash – 5.98 crore ($1.1 million)
Note: This year's highest earner in UAE was Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani – 5.85 crore ($1.06 million)
