Tuesday, 13th August 11:30 PM IST CHENNAI EXPRESS Holds Two Digit Figure "Chennai Express" collected some record numbers over the weekend and after that some sort of drop was expected. Film dropped on Monday but still managed 3rd best ever Monday figure and 2nd best non holiday Monday. Film was slow today morning again and managed 25% occupancy in metros i.e. Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata but following that film started growing. Film grew to 45% in noon show and by evening it was 60% in single screens. As per early estimates, film should collect 10.20 cr nett on Tuesday with a drop of approximate 18%. Film has collected 123 cr nett plus in 5 days and now film will add further 12 - 13 cr nett tomorrow ( collection should be better due to holiday day after). Film has crossed 227 cr worldwide gross in 4 days (170 cr at domestic & 57 cr in overseas). Film will stand at 135 cr nett after 6 days and then big day 15th August will be very crucial for film''s lifetime business as another biggie OUATIMD will arrive.
